• Mission Statement

The Legendary Hunters who first explored beyond the Cosmodrome now lay silent, long since barried, have passed down their cloaks to a new generation. Their goals have become that of many, but none the less just as important; push back the darkness, and restore the light of civilization. Many have fallen to the Darkness, consumed by their inner demons and made to destroy their kin, but we still have time to change. We can push back the night and save tomorrow for those who have no voice, who have only the will of the traveler to shield them now. Like the sea that rises and falls upon the shores of many distant worlds we must remain vigilant and haunt the dark corners were they lurk.

Exploration : Sol System

In this brief report we shall be discussing our solar system and what we know of each major body within. Sol - The light that moves us all, brings both fire and life to the dark corners of the black. Like the many stars in the night sky, the sun is vast and old, but young and more numerous then all the foul creatures that come to silence us. As the light reaches to use from the core, so too must we reach out to reclaim what was lost. > The heat would kill you long before you got near the Surface. Mercury - Legends say Mercury was once a garden world. Now it's surface, baked in the Sun's glare, is honeycombed with forgotten Vex structures. No life stirs here. Not anymore. > 37.8% Venus - Venus was once the site of great discovery, a paradise. Now, it is a monument to all that we have lost. The old stories say we built an academy dedicated to learning and research on the shore of a wondrous sea, and that the waters themselves boiled and rose up to shatter the coast, washing away all that we had built. > 90.7% Earth - Our home. After the Darkness swept over us, we found the Traveler where it made its last stand. Beneath, we built The City, our last, within its protective aura. From here, Guardians stand watch, defend our civilization, and strike out into the wild frontiers of Earth and beyond to reclaim our lost worlds. > 100% --------Luna - Like Earth, the ruins of humanity's former glory can be found scattered across the familiar lunar surface. Recent exploration attempts have been repulsed, reporting increased enemy activity, and even strange tectonic phenomenon. The City has since classified the Moon as a "Forbidden Zone,” open only to our most brave and experienced Guardians. > 83.3% Mars - What little we know of Mars may as well be a myth. We built a massive metropolis in the red dust. The Darkness swept nearly all of it away; the sand itself claimed the rest. No one knows what remains of our lost age, now buried beneath the dunes. > 37.7% --------Phobos - Many outposts that were claimed by the Cabal during the Collapse were abandoned, as to why we do not know, but we will use these places as staging grounds in our efforts to retake Mars. > 0.0005814% --------Deimos - Be careful what you find out in the black, sometimes the things that slumber tend to want to stay that way. > 0.000306% The Asteroid Belt - The Asteroid Belt is a great band of nothingness, speckled with unimaginable wealth. Once a treasure trove for Golden Age industry, the Belt is now a haunted place where Fallen pirates and Awoken patrols skirmish among the whispering carcasses of ancient machines. > Varied Gravity ---------------------The Reef - Among the asteroids drifts the Reef, lashed together from the ruined ships of an ancient exodus. Here the Queen rules over the Awoken - the farthest known light of civilization > 95% ---------------------Ceres - A lost world, hidden amongst the Asteroids and thought to be a frozen wasteland, but during the Golden Age is as made into a dry dock for ships. > 2.9% Jupiter - Lord of worlds, massive Jupiter and its moons must have been a cornerstone of Golden Age civilization. But the nature and extent of human presence there is now unknown. Old records refer to cities in ice and world-spanning oceans, but perhaps this is only poetry. > The gravity, wind, and pressure are intense to Try -----------Io - A harsh desert world covered in ash and dust from it's many volcanos, what could possible wish to live here. > 18.3% -----------Europa - A Ice covered ocean world, no land masses a research colony was built underneath to observe the natural wild life. > 13.4% -----------Ganymede - Another Ice covered ocean world, with no natural landmass on the surface many once lived under the surface > 14.6% -----------Calisto - Big Surprise, Another Ice covered ocean world, no land masses but plenty of research stations underneath. > 12.65% Saturn - Out beyond the Reef its rings shine. Whatever was known of it in the Golden Age is long forgotten, but more ancient truth remains: Saturn has over 150 moons, each with their own mysteries and dangers. -----------Titan - A world larger than Mercury, it was once made habitable only to be scorched early on in the collapse. Life is coming back to this world, but at a heavy cost to the many automated systems that keep it's environment in check. > 13.8% -----------Rhea - Cold, airless, and once a major mining operation it was abandoned after the darkness came but the facilities have recently been activated, by who I cannot say. > 2.7% -----------Iapetus - A great Mystery lies buried here; during the war this moon was highly sought after by enemies, and without warning a shock wave emanated from it and none have dared to venture there since. > 2.3% -----------Dione - An ice world, scorched long ago, it was inhabited for only a few years before the Collapse, few installations were set up, but those that were are mainly research, storage, and to further help in future colonization efforts. > 2.3% -----------Tethys - > 1.5% -----------Enceladus - A planet with many fuel mining outposts, this planet was used as a staging ground for ships heading out of the system. > 1.13% -----------Mimas - > 0.7% Uranus - The Third Largest with 27 moons and centuries of butt jokes, this Gas giant's moons are names after characters from old world stories written by Shakespeare and Alexander Poe. Neptune - Also known for it's rings, this world was named after a Old World Sea God for it's blue color, and with it's 14 moons it is the fourth largest world in our solar system. Pluto - Much controversy has stemmed from this small lifeless planet, being on the small side for planets and it's unusual orbit. It has 5 moons which may still hold outposts from the golden age meant to leave the system just before the armies of the Darkness arrived in our system. --------Charon --------Nix --------Hydra --------Kerberos --------Styx Kepler Belt - A mass of Asteroids, rogue planets and moons this briar patch kept many outside eyes from seeing us in our early years. ------------------Haumea ------------------Makemake ------------------Eris *In Build Process; my session Timed out when I was working on Saturn...so I have to start from scratch...2 hours of work gone... *For anyone planning to be astronomer in the future, never mark your surface gravity in acceleration units...it's wrong and doesn't help people like me who are trying to compare it to the Earth's gravity.
