This is the place to explore and play Generation Vice, or GenV for short, a text-based biocyberpunk roleplaying game set in a gritty post-World War III future. You play as a citizen of the state-capitalist society of Trinity City, an urban nexus of bleeding-edge technology and corporate chaos enclosed behind titanic walls from the decaying world beyond. In T.C., money means more to the economics of everyday life than ever before in human history, and anyone with a thirst for survival will do anything to get their hands on it- even if it means murder, and the particularly power-hungry will go to more drastic lengths than that to bend the grizzly world they live in to their will. So fill up your rig, grab a gun or two, and take a psychotic, cybernetic, blood-soaked journey through a generation of vice.

Generation Vice: Scanner Index

NOTES OF IMPORTANCE: *Scanners must insert programmatter nodes (small, rectangularly-prismatic drives fully loaded with programmable matter [tissues extracted and processed from the bodies of mimics] at atomic levels) into the insertion slot of the processing unit of their aedificator (a wearable device vital to the performance of a scanner’s abilities, worn upon his/her head and back as a helmet [liasive unit; “scans” any visible solid surface/material of user’s choice within medium-range to “load” its atomic structure into the aedificator, enabling it to “print” constructs made of the loaded material code in any visible location within medium-range] and backpack [processing unit; processes programmatter loaded into the aedificator and reconfigures it based on scanned material codes loaded into it] which are connected to each other via a “matter-vein” cord through which atomized programmatter flows from the backpack to the helmet to be printed) to fuel their printing abilities (1 Programmatter Node = 1 Programmatter). *1 Programmatter = 1 foot of length/height/width in printable construct size. *The aedificator must be purchased separately from hacker class drives via a rigger for a standard price of €28,000. *Only one material code can be loaded into a default aedificator at a time. *Scanners use their aedificators via the liasive unit’s AUI (aedificator user interface), a visual interface built into the aedificator’s helmet visor which allows its user to visually target specific surfaces to scan and locations to print within. *Users of scourged (unkempt/damaged) scanner class drives will experience visual hallucinations in which the dimensions of all entities and objects within their field of view will be visible and even “dissected” in disorienting manners, as well as major errors in depth perception; drives are maintained and repaired by riggers [-€500 per maintenance/repair]. — GRADE 1 DRIVE [-€150,000]: INTRINSICS (inherent to drive grade): + Simple Devices— Print non-mechanical devices with your aedificator, such as melee weapons (i.e. knives, axes, swords, etc.), utility tools (i.e. hammers, wrenches, ladders, etc.), and wearable items (i.e. clothing, armor, etc.). + Architecture— Print architectural structures with your aedificator, such as walls, stairs, pillars, etc.; can be constructed together to assemble more complex structures such as houses. - MODS (must be bought separately from drive grade): + Cinch Specs [-€3,500]— Instead of a helmet, the liaisive unit of the aedificator is a pair of grey mechanical spectacles for concealability purposes and user’s convenience; custom coloration/decal(s) of jacket can be applied via rigger for a standard price of €100. + Alchemizer [-€9,300]— Load and print up to 3 separate materials into and from your aedificator simultaneously; print constructs out of each material separately or mix loaded materials to print constructs made of the product of said mixture. — GRADE 2 DRIVE [-€300,000]: INTRINSICS (inherent to drive grade): + Complex Devices— Print mechanical devices with your aedificator, such as non-portable machines (i.e. computer consoles, generators, pods, etc.), firearms (i.e. pistols, SMG’s, rifles, etc.), and vehicles (i.e. boards, motorcycles, cars, etc.); printed devices must be loaded/powered via external sources. + Automata— Print entire automatons with your aedificator, such as drones, droids, and androids; printed devices must be powered via external sources. - MODS (must be bought separately from drive grade): + Pack Jacket [-€6,500]— Instead of a backpack, the processing unit of the aedificator is divided into thinned portions built inside of a grey pop-collar glove-jacket for concealability purposes and user’s convenience; programmatter insertion slot is located within a flap-covered “pocket” located on the jacket’s breast; custom coloration/decal(s) of jacket can be applied via rigger for a standard price of €100. + MultiMat Codex [-€18,600]— Enables material codes to be permanently loaded into a digital memory console built into your aedificator’s processing unit after being scanned once, creating a memory codex of scanned material codes. — GRADE 3 DRIVE [-€600,000]: INTRINSICS (inherent to drive grade): + Organisms— Print entire organisms with your aedificator, such as humans, animals, and plants (using organic materials). - MODS (must be bought separately from drive grade): + Eye of Vulcan [-€86,270]— Atomically deconstruct and disintegrate any visible target within medium-range; costs the amount of programmatter equal to the size of the target.
