OK, we tried the weekly heroic and the nightfall. synth_682 and mwilson136 were with me. Synth is a Hunter with the invisibility ability that goes with bladedancer. We tried that strategy of hiding in the 2nd floor alcove (BTW, it's on the LEFT side of the room, so you have to run across the room to get there). Worked like a charm. Once we all got up there, we spent a couple of minutes swapping out weapons to maximize arc damage (Omnigul's shield is Arc, not Solar like most wizards). In the weekly, it took us about 2 minutes and 3 deaths to get him dead. Then we did the Nightfall - less than 45 seconds in, he was toast. Quite literally, we fired a Gjallarhorn and my arc-burn launcher at the same time, switched to icebreaker, and each got off 2 shots, and he was done. Easily the best strategy for this mission. Just do the weekly first, so you get the strategy down before you tackle the nightfall.

Also, I'm thinking that a Hunter that can go invisible at will would be wonderful as the "medic" in this. Just crouch on top of the boxes and stay hidden. A Titan with Ward of Dawn would also be nice. Cast it and let the other guy (or, in a team of 3, two guys) wail on Omnigul for 10 straight seconds with impunity and 25% increased damage.

This has to be one of my least favorite missions. Not hating, just stating preference. I dislike small areas with a lot of enemies where the "strategy" is "kill them more than they kill you". That said, I'll be using this strategy tonight on both the weekly and nightfall. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I35FbnlzUuY Essentially, find the room up-and-to-the-right (as you enter from the regular hallway). Get at least 2 ppl up there. One stays out of sight and sits there. The other stands in the doorway and shoots Omnigul. That person doing the shooting will die umpteen times, but the out-of-sight person is right there to revive them. Rinse and repeat.

By the way, the Weekly is only epic and solar.
