Relic controls (cold shoulder)

I was wondering if anyone knows the controls on how to use the relic with cold shoulder button settings for ps4. Everyone is telling me left bumper left bumper to cleanse but,nothing. Also my R triggers are swapped. My weapon fire button is R2 and grenade is R1. My melee is now the R joystick or R3. I rarely handle the relic but when I do grab it, I look retarded using it. Please help
