The Cabal (Conjuncture) Are they running ? Who do they serve? Why the interest in golden age and Vex technology ? _________ the cabal have been deployed to the Sol System for a long time as is shown by there moral and equipment (note that while in combat the Cabal will engage with out hesitation). they seem to fight amongst each other (as seen in ghost report) over wether or not to stay loyal to the empire. They have taken a extreme interest in golden age and Vex technology, this interest is costing them many lives and a vast amount of time if there interest on mars where primarily territorial they could have leveled freehold as soon as garden resting became a issue and began a scorched earth campaign against the Vex instead they maintain a costly ground war indicating that they are more interested in technology. As orbital bombardment would destroy all golden age and Vex technology. How ever the Cabals technology is already vary advanced, there weapons are designed to work in any environment or gravity and in some cases feed date back as soon as they launch, the Cabal phalanx shield is built to hull plating standers and feeds data to the shield barer an the Cabal Battle net so golden age and Vex technology would not under normal circumstances be necessary nor worth the cost in lives and time they are paying for it. However if the larger Empire is at war, more importantly losing a war then this technology becomes much more necessary and worth much more (if the Cabal are fighting a losing war it follows that they are fighting the darkness as it it the only force that we now of that could rival the Cabal in power). If the Cabal are fighting a losing war agents the darkness then it would make much more seance to dispatch a force to the Sol system to recover ultimately bring back advanced technology from the Vex one of the most advanced cases old Human tech as we have survived (all be it barely) there onslaught of the darkness. This could also explain the infighting, if they are indeed fighting and losing some of them may think that it would be smarter and easier just to flee the darkness and never look back.
