You spend a lot of time looking at GIFs. Sports. Cats. NES games. NSFW stuff. Sometimes you have to dig and dig looking for what you want. But, according to The Week, now Google has added new search filters that will make finding those silent, bite-sized animations even easier. The details are in this Google+ post:
Starting today, there's an easier way to unearth those gems: when you do an image search, click on "Search tools" below the search box, then select "Animated" under the "Any type" dropdown box.
See? Easy. Less time looking, more time laughing/not working.
Sweet new feature. C'mon people, let's see them gifs!
-
huh? isn't that a new feature in 4chain?
-
Shut up baby, I know it.
-
Nice.
-
Because anything involving Sniper is -blam!-ING AWESOME.
-
google had a gif search filter for as long as i can remember
-
Because why not?
-
Oh yeah! That big!
-
Or.... you could just do what people have been doing forever and put "gif" at the end of your search term. That's a hell of a lot faster.

Wow, I found something I'd have so loved to have had a long time ago... Something I can use to re-size GIFs!
-
They should just add a damn file type filter already. So I can search for only PNGs or only GIFs, etc.
-
Oh yeah.
-
This should come in handy when I have "research" to do.
-
Context analytics have been doing this for years in things like DSS. It is about time they were implemented into a general search engine.
