Lord of Admirals' 2014 Halo Lore Q&A
Most of you might not remember, but last summer, I did a big Q&A of Halo lore. So, I thought I'd make this an annual occurrence around E3.
Basically, if you want to test my knowledge of Halo lore or want something in Halo's story explained, ask it here!

13 RepliesWhy hasn't ONI or the UNSC putting an infected life form into a cryo tube and studying them? Seems like a logical way to if it were to still almost halt cell production. This could render the Flood form almost paralyzed, but yet giving the researches plenty of time to study the Flood supercells and how they infect their hosts. Hell, you could even extract a single cell out of the host/spore since they wouldn't be able to do anything about it. Hypothetically, could you allow just [i]one[/i] Flood supercell into a fresh host's immune system, then heavily isolate and irradiate it like a modern day Cancer cell? Could potentially make some kind of vaccine or something, although I'm just rambling at this point. Granted I know thats not the easiest question to answer (if there is one) but it kinda seems like a plot drop if you ask me.

4 RepliesAre you answering questions based on the books and the games? If so, you need to keep them seperate. One reason, Cortana is a Forerunner AI in Halo Reach and not in the book. So, to me, there are two different story lines being told here.

Or more specifically, what you know about their homeworld and political structure. The big tin cans of worms that nobody gives credit to, smarter than most would know I think. Actually, here's a question. Lekegolo worms congregate together to form "one" entity. I'd imagine that as they amass more worms, their intelligence increases, as when they are singular, on their own, they aren't worth so much. But together, they can form bodies, and can speak and think on a larger level. So, my question is, what would happen if you had a planetary surface of lekegolo all joined as one? Could it possibly be that they have the power to rival the Flood in terms of raw thinking power?

10 RepliesLets talk about Moonbabies. What position of power did Tartarus play in Halo 2? Clearly, he was the head honcho, big shot representitive of his species on the political floor. I assume he would have belonged to the Alpha pack, the pack that largely controls everything about his species. And, after his death, what happened to his hammer? Somebody pick it up as a trophy? What about the moonbabies in general by Halo 3? Do you think they had another head honcho on the political floor or did they just stall that whole thing over when they started really going up the ladder with the prophets? Because we caught not even a glimpse of one with Truth, and in Halo 2, it was pretty obvious that tarty had a lot of dealings with Truth. And, do you think moonbabies have two hearts? They come from a 2g world, and on average sit at about 8-9 feet tall. That much pressure on a body that tall would create a tremendous amount of strain on a heart. Robert Wadlow was the tallest Human ever recorded, sitting in at something like 9 feet, and he had a lot of problems with blood circulation as well as heart trouble. Speaking of gravity, do you think moonbabies are so feared as terrestrial fighters because of how easy it would be for them to do just about anything on another world that isn't 2g?

This is covered in Harvest I think. Also at the end of Halo 2 didn't they say the other rings were ready to fire? What happened to that and why was it ignore? It was barely mentioned in H3 if at all.

2 RepliesI have another one; Apart from gameplay reasons, is there any explanation as to why the Prometheans are so weak in Halo 4? Wouldn't they need to be a lot stronger to match up to the Forerunner-era Flood?

1 ReplyI have two little questions. They offered the surviving Spartan-II's and III's to integrate into the Spartan-IV Project. I'm not sure about the Spartan-III's, but what would Spartan-II's gain from integrating into it when their augmentations are superior already? Is it possible the surviving Forerunners would rise against the Didact if he would continue trying to stop humanity from claiming the Mantle?

2 RepliesI have a question; How did Miranda, Johnson and the Arbiter get back to Earth before the Chief and Truth even though the Dreadnought left for Earth before they did? Wouldn't the Dreadnought get to Earth faster due to it being more advanced?
