Do u think that the Prometheans are gonna have a huge design change in Halo 5? After seeing that new Promethean minifigure from Mega Bloks, I'm beginning to think that 343 is doing something with the Prometheans.

  • We can certainly hope so, and I wouldn't be surprised if they do. I hope that we start to see Composed versions of other species, imagine Composed Sangheili... With Halo 4, there were certain limitations with what 343 had to work with for the Prometheans. New company, having to build their team from scratch, a whole bunch of different interpretations of what the artists wanted out of the Prometheans... It must've been chaotic from a design standpoint at the studio. I recall Kiki Wolfkill saying in the Return of the Forerunner ViDoc that the Promethean design process was one of the longest and most painful aspects of H4's development because everybody was so invested in what they wanted out of them. Obviously, they had strict deadlines to meet and the result was what we got - Knights that you could visually differentiate via certain aesthetic nuances, but overall they looked the same. With Halo 5, they've got a full team and have established themselves as a company now. They've got a whole new engine to work with, a first for the series, and that comes with a whole new world of possibilities. I very much think that we'll see new Prometheans, but time'll tell - and we don;t have that long to wait until E3 where we'll get some proper answers.
