I'm sure that the Mark 1 was shown in the Halo: Legends episode The Prototype right? And just for a refresher what were the disadvantages of the Mark 1?

Yes, the HRUNTING/YGGDRASIL MARK I ADS. It was too.... Violent. The kind of movements needed to operate this thing and the sheer ferocity of the situations it was designed for ensure it was a one time use kind of thing. Meaning that even if the suit survived, you'd die from the strain the suit put on you.
