The point was raised in HM Rob's thread, in a strange manner that didn't work so well.
So here's a direct question for the atheists of Secular Sevens; what would it take for you to become a Christian?
-
Proof.
-
Jesus f.ucking me up the arse with a rubber crucifix.
-
I don't want to be a christian though.
-
God appearing.
-
1) Absolute proof unexplainable by science that god exists 2) He's not a douchebag 3) Heaven is worth it 4) The devil isn't a cool gui
-
Proof that god exists
-
73 virgins.
-
Proof of god Proof of miracles being acts of god Proof of the bible stories being true events and not being written by misogynistic old men
-
Irrefutable proof
-
lol atheists.
-
so many fedoras

Edited by Kurismic: 2/11/2014 1:34:18 AMEvidence....but I would only accept that "God" existed. I still wouldn't revert to being a Christian.
-
I'd need a year of angel-hand-jobs before I'd even consider it.
-
A sexy angel to come down and -blam!- me long into the night.
-
WHAT TEAM?!
-
Yehovah revealing himself.

Edited by a SharkWithKnees: 2/10/2014 3:56:45 AMGod or Jesus would have to come and show himself and his power to me. And even then, I still wouldn't 'believe' in God. I would simply 'know' that God existed. Furthermore, if God actually thinks I'm going to bow down to him, and live in fear of him, then he has another thing coming. Let the insurgency rise!!!

Proof, I guess
-
First of all, you'll need some pretty hard evidence to make me believe that there is a higher power in the first place. Second of all, I don't think I'd follow any religious doctrine, especially the bible. If I did, I would interpret very loosely to the point where the Catholic Church would want me burned to the stake. I must also note that my opinions or beliefs on anything outside of religion would not change.
-
If Jesus himself came to me and performed a miracle, praise be unto him.
-
Why can't I ever post in these damn things
-
Edited by BannedPiranha: 2/10/2014 2:17:45 AMEvidence that the supernatural and faith based claims made by followers of Christianity(or any religion for that matter) are in any way cogent with reality as we can observe it. Edit: Oh this was necrobumped.

Edited by Unique ID: 2/9/2014 10:51:15 PMAny scientific evidence would be enough for me. I prefer the thought of a God. Not a vengeful one but one who is always there looking out for you and forgiving. I just think he/she doesn't exist unfortunately.

Edited by Ossku: 2/8/2014 2:15:06 PMProof. All the proof. And a benefit from becoming one.
-
To believe in god? I'd need proof. To believe in Bible god? I'd need proof specific to Bible god.
