Is God bound by logic?

Assuming that God exists, and is more or less how Christians/Jews/Muslims/Etc. describe him, is he bound to logic or can he exist outside of it? I always thought that since God created the universe, and logic is a fact of this universe, then God must not be bound by even logic, since he basically created it. Thoughts?

  • If God is beyond logic then claims of God's existence, goodness, what have you are indefensible. It is also difficult to claim that belief in such a being is reasonable, intelligible and supported by evidence. The fact of the matter is if you throw out logic then you can't make any kind of claim about anything at all.
