THE DOJO

The Dojo. Located on the diverse planet of Tatakai, the Dojo consists of the largest gathering of fighters the universe has ever seen. Men and women from all different cultures, races and worlds come to train, compete and fight together. Many battles have been raged on its soil, but it remains standing. Here, one can write, fight and talk with other writers who seek to create stories with one another. All you have to do is start typing. The New Dojo(JOIN HERE!)
Join our group! Free of charge! I swear! https://www.bungie.net/en/Clan/Forum/1677784/0/3/0 USE THIS LINK IF THAT OTHER ONE DOES NOT WORK. https://www.bungie.net/en/Groups/Chat?groupId=1677784 Once you pass your test and have joined the group sign here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/215168136/0/0 NOTE: You do not have to be tested to join the dojo. Only to PvP.
Who we are
The dojo is an ENTRY LEVEL AND ONE OF THE ONLY PUBLIC RP THREADS. RP is A way of interactive creative writing. Where you can go on adventures, have fights and generally have fun. Think of dungeons and dragons, but its horribly imbalanced since there is not an experience system or dice. Its great! The Dojo loves different opinions, ideas and writing no matter if you are new to RP(roleplay) or extremely experienced. If you have an opinion to share about how to make the dojo better, contact one of the Sensei's that run the place (We would prefer this rather then excessive and unintelligent shit talking). Every work of writing is appreciated and accepted (shitposts…maybe not so much).
How we work(list of Admins included)
The dojo is run by a group of Sensei’s. These Sensei’s will make up most of the game changing decisions to benefit The Dojo. BUT Everyone's opinion matters a great deal. So the Sensei’s will make poll’s within the group for the members to vote and decide on big issues/ideas. Even then, the sensei’s will inform the group of changes and decisions made. The list of sensei’s are as follows: Inflatablepants/Pants(GONE ON HIATUS) The God-Eater/Cob Royalblade/Royal Fresh Cazberry/Vio nullCth/Cth And the leader of the dojo union: Tubbs
OUR GOAL
At the dojo, we want to provide an amazing place for you to improve on your writing in a fun way. We love new faces, and will accept you as soon as you walk up to the door. We also love other RP threads that have really awesome stuff, and we want to invite them all here so we can have a hub world of sorts. Whether this is through an interdimensional portal, space ships or whatever. We want everyone we can to be a part of this and interact with everyone! This way, you can meet people you never would have met before. If you are a leader of an RP group and are interested in this, please contact me so we can discuss further! I like discussing stuff!
RULES
https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/212678270/0/0
How to PvP
Player VS Player Is what the dojo is known for. Basically, you can fight each others characters with your own, to see who’s the best or to simply make some kick ass action. Please follow all the rules while you fight, so you can make it as badass as possible. In order to PvP you must be tested by a sensei, or a designated tester of the dojo. You can find out who is a tester by seeing "How we Work." Also, When you fight another player make sure that you always react to their move. The best way to do this is like this. >Have a stanza dedicated to your reaction from you opponents last reply. >Have a stanza dedicated to your attack. If you completely block another opponents attack, its courteous to not attack them within the same reply. This way, you’ll never go wrong.
World Creation(Getting started at the Dojo starts here)
This is the most important section for you RP experience. This is where you make your characters, their stories, where they could live. Also, this is where you can create a Faction to participate in the thread, as well as having access to writing for the group(The stories you write do not have to relate to the dojo at all) Bio's(RECCOMENDED) https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/212677641/0/0 Backstory for Characters https://www.bungie.net/en/Clan/Post/1677784/217556475/0/0 Property Creator https://www.bungie.net/en/Clan/Post/1677784/220228259/0/0 Writers Hub https://www.bungie.net/en/Clan/Post/1677784/220575696/0/0 Faction Creator https://www.bungie.net/en/Clan/Post/1677784/222042811/0/0
The Dojo
Physical Appearance https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/212677894/0/0 NOTE: The dojo only uses Mac Cannons for any kind of defense. • Assassination Fortis woke up, lightheaded, in a dark and damp room. Judging from the rock formations around him, he was in a deep cave. A small note layer next to him, which read; 'Got your mind back for you, but you owe me a favor. Come out of the cave when you are ready.' Fortis read the note and hurried out of the cave. While there was virtually no light in the cave, there was tons of radiation, and Fortis just used infrared lenses to navigate through the cave. When he arrived on the surface, which was about a mile away from the dojo, he found another note. 'Assassinate the warriors of the dojo.' "Well shit, why couldn't it be something like 'go shop for groceries' or something?" Fortis asked himself. Another note fabricated in front of him. On a normal day, Fortis would have been shocked or amazed or curious, but this wasn't a normal day. 'Do it, or I will take back your mind. Also, you may need this...' Along with the note, a strange sword appeared. It was abnormally long and thing for a sword. One half of it was red, and the other half was black. It didn't even have a cross guard, and the handle was simply a cylinder. "How is this supposed to help?" Fortis asked. Unfortunately, no more notes came. He strode into town reluctantly, taking out his old sword and shield instead of using the new sword he had been given. He was having second thoughts on doing what the note said, when another one fabricated in front of him. 'Oh, and on top of taking your mind away, I will personally obliterate you and your fleet if you don't comply.' The task Fortis had been given suddenly seemed much more appealing, and he rushed into town with double speed.
Open, fight Fortis or try to reason with him.
"G-Gah!" ------------------------- "SIMULATION: END VICTOR: IRINA" The digitalized body of Irina fell to the cold, simulated flooring, gurgling dark, corrupted blood before fading into nothingness, as the simulation of the actual Irina merely chuckled and turned from the dying version of herself. It had been...such a long time since she had gotten into a genuine fight. Not against mercenaries or assassins and whatnot - but fights against the warriors of the Dojo, as she hadn't gone against them in quite a while. She brandished her separated Rakuyo blades - one about twenty-four inches long, the blade sharpened to look like a katana, the other being ten inches long and a serrated dagger. She bore no other weapons, other than...a hidden one, within her coat. She was...getting bored. The simulation itself was blank, the concrete flooring's stone perfectly place, until a portal opened - as another being entered.. ((Open - you're the one heading in. Short post. But I need some combat, preferably melee. You come with guns, then I'll draw guns.))

Pushing up the right side, he found the room he was looking for. Jiggling the lock, he realized that obviously, the room was locked, and as such, he quickly pulled out a bobby pin and a flathead screwdriver from a pouch on his bandolier and began working to pry the door open. Getting it open, he walked inside quietly and closed the door. Flipping the light on, he began his search, digging through the room to find what he was looking for. Playboys and empty cigarette cartons littered the floor alongside beer bottles and empty shell casings. It was trashed as the man had expected, and full of a whole lot of nothing. Kicking the wall in frustration, he noticed that the piece of drywall fell out, revealing a small crevice in the wall. Kneeling down, he looked into it, and reached a hand in, pulling out a small device that was roughly the size of a small hamburger bun. Looking it over, he tucked it into his bandolier before turning to leave. He didn't care if they knew he'd been there once he was gone. Now it was a matter of getting out. Walking to the door, he shut the light off, and exited the room before making his way out of the building. He needed to get somewhere quiet before he teleported back to where he'd come from. "Thank you Sparrow..." He said, chuckling as he walked out of the Dojo housing area, hands in his pockets. To those around, he appeared to be no more than just another traveler that fit the bill for a Dojo fighter and resident.
Open
*Splash! A loud noise appears from behind you. A splash, followed by the sound that's made when you're trying to squeeze out the last of the ketchup out of the bottle... or a fart. *Splat The sound of something hitting the ground soon echoes into your ears. You turn around. There he is, Handayo Mane, the man with the fastest hands in the known universe. On the ground next to him is an empty bottle of lotion. Handayo stands there staring at you, rubbing a white substance on the palm of his hands. He stares at you, licking his lips and not saying a word. He approaches, footsteps echoing through the room. As he nears you, he abruptly stops. After a moment of nothing, he looks down at his hands and smiles, speaking in a deep whisper full of confidence, "They're ready." He kneels in front of you. Looking up at you, there is little emotion on his face. His mouth opens once more and he asks a simple question that leaves you studdering... "How's your wrist action?" He then smirks, and waits for a response.

Then, they started coming towards the dojo in legions. Hundreds of them poured out of the forests, each marching towards the gates of the dojo. When they arrived, they didn't start attacking. Instead, they sent a lone messenger to the main gates of the dojo. He threw a message over the wall. "Give us Fortis and we shall leave peacefully." The message read. With this big an army, it was clear they weren't here to invite Fortis to a formal dinner or something. They most likely wished to kill him.
Open, either defend Fortis or give him to the army.
Transgressions of the Past "Yesterday's loss leads to madness. And the hero becomes tyrant. Becomes Outcast. Becomes ... Dust. Soon enough, the lines that were once so clearly drawn become ... blurred." Dojoville, 09:50 hours Cylus sat alone at a table in courtyard A1, relaxing as he wrote in his log. He had had the log from the start of his "career" back on Earth, but decided to hold it until now. Within its pages was his story, and to whoever read it, may they pass it on. Pausing for a moment, he took a sip of his coffee and watched as people passed by, each with their own destination. His pet bird, Grifter, perched on Cylus' helmet on the opposite end of the table and let out a chirp. "It's okay, go spread your wings." he said. Grifter, still being a hatchling, had just learned to fly. Despite his young age, Grifter was the size of a falcon, given as a gift to Cylus from a friend. Cylus let out a sigh and continued writing. ... The other day at Station Seven, Sgt. Carly said something to me. She said "moving on with life is essential to survival sometimes. It's always good to mourn though..." That made me realize something. The only way I could ever survive, or rather, live on, is if I move on. More importantly, forgive myself. I blamed Rachel's death on myself from the start, and now I can clearly see how it changed me. To fully understand, we have to go back to that night... the night she died. ... ------- --, some years ago -------- City, Earth. 23:21 hours Dates and Locations have been changed for discretion. It was supposed to be a snatch and grab, nothing more. Rachel and I had been at the docks, watching as Vector's goons unloaded illegal shipments of weapons. Take surveillance, grab a piece of tech, and leave. Vector himself wasn't supposed to be there, something had tipped him off. He knew we were there. It was nearing the time to move in. With 4 minutes to go, I contacted Rachel through the comms. No response. Q, still in an early stage of development, was unable to ping her location. I shrugged it off, as it wouldn't have been the first time Rach decided to go offline. I checked my watch, time passed. Rachel wasn't signaling to go in. 5 minutes... 10 minutes... 15. I got antsy. I assumed she was upset because of an argument we had earlier that night, so I figured I would go in alone. I dropped down from my position atop a shipping container and stuck to the shadows. As I made my way to the clearing, I overheard two men walking in the snow. Their walkies went off and Vector's voice asked "If their was any sign of him yet." I didn't realize that "him" was me, I was focusing on the fact that Vecor was there. I quietly followed the two men until they came to an opening in which multiple of the black suvs were parked. In the center stood Vector, his back to me, using a computer in the trunk of one of his cars. His men just kept unloading crates of their smuggled weaponry, one large man in particular watching all of them. Vector stopped typing on the keyboard and looked to his right, kneeling down to talk to someone. Obscured by the car, I couldn't see who. I decided to get a better view by grappling up to a shipping container. Still too far to see, I had Q enhance the image and audio. Vector was talking to a woman with a sac on her head, hands and feet tied together. It was Rachel. "Your boyfriend is here" he said, walking around her. "In fact... he's listening us right now. Isn't that right, ------?" "You won't get him!" Rachel screamed. "If you so much as touch a hair on my head, he will come for you. And he'll never stop." "That's what I'm counting on..." Vector whispered, turning to look straight at me, this psychotic smile strectching across his face. The gunshot rang throughout the docks. I couldn't move, not even when the red laser appeared on my chest. Next thing I know, I had been shot in the chest by a tranq dart. I instantly became dizzy and fell 2 stories from the shipping containers, face first into the snow. I was in and out of consciousness. I was being dragged to him. To her. I tried to talk but nothing came out. I was helpless. Time passed and i finally woke up. My wrists and ankles were bound and tied around a post. In front of me was Rachel's body, the sac still on her head, caked in blood. The snow around her was dyed red, and as I looked up, Vector came into view. "Too slow this time ------. If only you had stayed with her, maybe she'd be alive." he said with a laugh. Two things ran across my mind. The burning rage I felt for Vector and all that he had taken from me, and the deep sorrow I felt for Rachel. Vector's words got to me, and all I could think about was how the last words I ever said to Rachel were in an argument. ... A single tear fell on the page. Cylus looks up and wipes his eye, sniffling. The memories were still as painful as they were all those years ago. Grifter came into view above him and landed back on his helmet, letting out a satisfied chirp. Cylus looked at him and forced a smile and began writing again until he saw something in the reflection of his helmet. Somebody was behind him, reading as he wrote.
open
Dew reflected the sunlight off the lush, green grasses and trees around the dojo. The clouds were arranged in the sky a ways away from each other, not obscuring large segments of the bright, blue sky. Birds sang, crickets chirped, bees and cicadas buzzed... it was a nice morning. Slowly hiking up the trail that lead to Dojoville was a woman. She was a rather slim individual, stood at 5'6"; she was definitely skinny, yet had decent enough curves to be noticeable. Her face had a attractive, angular shape to it, and her skin tone was a tan olive color. Her eyes were electric blue, and her hair was a light silver. For her apparel, the woman wore an old, tattered black cloak; its ends were torn up, and there were holes everywhere on the cloak. It really should've been thrown away, but the woman continued to wear it, for whatever reason. Underneath, she wore a pair of black skinny jeans, which were covered in dirt and dust, and a plain, navy blue-shirt. Her shoes were black combat boots, with flat soles. Around her jeans was a belt, used for her weapons. She had three noticeable weapons; first off was a katana on his back, its blade around 32" in length. It was made of a meld of steel and silver; mostly made of steel, but at least 25% of it was silver. The base the blade was painted black, and the further along you travel on the blade, the more it shifted to electric blue. Finally, the tip and near the tip of the katana was entirely blue. On her belt were her two remaining weapons; first off, a handgun with an utterly massive barrel; a .50 BMG one. .50 BMG bullet cases were stored a compartment that was attached to the belt. And finally, on her other side was a knife in a round, extremely secure case; unmistakably a Jagdkommano tri-dagger. As the woman reached the Dojo gates, she put her hands in her pockets, looking around. "Hello?"
Open
I knew you would be coming soon but the suspense, people from all over would love to take a shot at such an Interesting venue" Gerald stood at an empty coast talking to himself out loud. He was waiting for something and whatever it was, was coming very soon. 11:59 PM There were only a few awake, the occasional insoniac would walk by out of curiosity. It seemed as if the Von Chronos was simply wasting time until a quake shuffled the ground. Gerald pulled out a pocket watch that seemed to chime to the quakes as a castle rose from the sea. The stone, untouched by age, the glass unshattered. What should have been coroded by the ocean rose in near pristine condition. Even the clock tower began to tick away as if it had been tended to and well oiled for years. What was this place? Why did the timekeeper wait for it?
Open
As of now, he knew the woman took Bella. It was up to him to find Diana, kill her and rescue Bella. As he followed the path, he found himself in the eyes of Diana frequently thanks to his power. It provided an incredibly easy if not surreal way to track her path through the woods and he found himself moving south into the Forest.
For Can
Nice to see it's thriving as usual. I wonder who'll be here this time, or if there's anyone left from last time."
Open. Reintro of a character. But little did they know that this was no regular storm as it reached in minutes blocking out the light. Something very large is lurking within its shadowy mass. But its hard to tell what is cause it can't be seen from the ground. It makes a lot of people very wary uneasy. Leyla is just staring up at it she gets the sense that something very bad is going to happen. She had already warned several people and now it was only a matter of time now. A very loud deafening roar could be heard though the clouds of the storm as lightening cracks through the air. She still didn't know what it was but it definitely wasn't friendly as it roars a second time. It was clear that this wasn't good.
open
The figure was an extremely tall male, standing at 301cm, or 9'8 for plebes. He had tanned skin and a muscular build to him, covered by his double breasted white suit. He had a handsome face for a middle aged person, with a few wrinkles that showed off his age. His salt and pepper hair was combed back as his ocean green eyes scanned the area. "I wonder I wonder...where could I possibly be at now? Not like I have many options except to move forward~ Perhaps someone could greet me in a polite manner? Bah, not in today's age. Children don't show respect and go around flinging their powers willy nilly like some brat on a temper tantrum...." Thus, the man of light Edward van Clarke had arrived at the dojo, moving forwards through the gates that led to the dojo itself. Not even five minutes in and some jackass wielding a katana decided to combat him by jumping out of some bushes on the side, Edward had but a split second to move and he did, the assailants katana just missing his tricep, slashing the suit. Edward retaliated with swift kick to the chest, which had sent the katana ninja flying. Edward let out a sigh as he pointed his finger at the ninja, a small beam of light erupted from his fingertip and pierced the ninjas brain. "I thought so. Ought to greet people in a polite manner, not attack them - Oh, it seems his sword had tarnished my suit. Such a shame, now I need to find a tailor around here, but I doubt these barbarians have any..."
Open. Introducing a bizarre character.
Breaking Point Vanguard Hall, The Tower, Last City, Earth; 1354 hours The Hunter Vanguard, Mark-54, drummed his fingers on the the table. He was having a rough day. Someone stole his favorite knife. The mini-bar near his quarters had run out of his favourite drink. Three of his scouts had gone rouge in the European Dead Zone. He was constantly being annoyed by the Vertex twins, crap ton of Hunters off the revive, and a bunch of people asking, "Where's Cayde?" On top of that, was his heartache about the one that ALWAYS got away. His feeling of betrayal after his best friend leaving to kill their former teammate. His hatred for Zavala ordering his best friend to do so. His hatred for himself for not telling his lost love how he felt. Mark felt like he was going to explode. But he snapped, crackled, and popped. Like the energy he honed. "I just can't take it...." He slammed his head onto his map, which was covered in mud footprints. "Mark...." His ghost, Havoc, chided. "Havoc! I can't take it!" Mark raised his voice, "First I lose my team to the most bulls**t relationship that went sour. Then one of them gets exiled, Taken by Oryx, and nearly killed in an explosion. And the whole time she failed to see what's right in front of her!" His voice gets louder, "While the other is blinded by the past. He finally moved on, but still held hatred. THEN I EXPLORE A LARGE PLANET, IN A DIFFERENT TIMELINE, LOSE A BET AND GET ROPED INTO THIS TOWER! MEANWHILE, A BLUE B***H DECIDES TO KILL MY FORMER TEAMMATE BECAUSE HE'S A F**KING COWARD!! SO HE ORDERED MY BEST FRIEND TO KILL MY OTHER BEST FRIEND, WHO I MISS MORE THAN I MISS MORE THAN MY FREEDOM AND MY FAVORITE KNIFE THAT WAS STOLEN THIS MORNING!!!" The yelling was so loud, the guardians from the plaza piled in to see what was going on. Zavala shot Mark a glare, "Mark--" "Don't Mark me!" The exo interrupted, "FIND A NEW HUNTER TO JOIN YOUR F**KING TABLE BECAUSE I AM LEAVING!! I WILL NOT COME BACK!!" Mark grabbed his notebook from under the map, and stormed straight out of the Vanguard Hall through the crowd, Havoc following. The Hunter flipped off the Awoken Titan as he left. Dojoville, 17:09 Mark landed his "High and Flighty" outside the walls of the Dojo. Squeezing the large ship through the Gate on Venus had not been easy, and it had taken damage. He dawned his helmet, pulled up the jood of his Bladedancer's cloak and approached the gates of Dojoville.
Open. Reintro.
As he opened his eyes and wiped the snow off of them, he saw that he was buried in a mound of snow. He looked around, and saw...nothing. There were lumps on the ground covered in snow, but the entire airstrip looked like it had been erased. Tywin's blast must have been that powerful, but where was everyone? Where was the army, where was Falk? The heavy snowfall made it difficult to see and the night sky began to rise from the dusk...
For Zane
