”Running ashore, Captain.” “Can you stop saying that every single time we show up somewhere new? It got real old real fast.” ”Well then. Didn’t have to be so rude.” “I own you. I can be as rude as I please.” ”You don’t own me. You own me as much as you own the air inside your ship.” “Say that to the contract and the money jingling in someone else’s pocket, kelk.” ”I have a name.” “And I have an opinion, looks like we both have things the other doesn’t care about.” ”Whatever. We landed. Get out and stop making fun of me.” “Stop acting like a child and I will.” He would pop the hatch open, the sunlight hitting his hair and eyes like a flashbang at first. It’d been days since he’d seen sun, good thing he was taking supplements or the lack of vitamins from being out in the sun might’ve done him in. But he hoisted himself out of the ship, slamming the hatch down as he stood up onto the hood. The old rustbucket was still holding together, but not much else. It was a black ship, shaped like a cylinder. It looked like a bottle rocket, or a firework or such. It was a little rusty and broken down, but it worked... Mostly. It could get from point A to point B, and that’s all that matters. He took a sharp look downward, and jumped down. He saw who he was after. A tall man, one who was rather infamous in a few other planet’s databases. A hefty fine was placed on his head, one that he just had to claim. Money makes the world go round, and Theodynn Reikals would make it spin like a top if he had his way. He began walking with a crowd, he didn’t know where he was on the planet. He’d just have to guess and hope he was near a major settlement. It seemed he was, from the amount of shops and such that he had seen throughout the time he’d been there, which was all of about thirty seconds. He was waiting. Waiting for him to turn down a corner or something like that. Some place secluded, he didn’t want the local law finding him once he’d done his deed. The man he was after was dressed in a trench coat, one that could’ve held many surprises. Many would know him by his common name, but only a few new what he was really called. Charles LeCant. The Vampire Hunter. Eventually, Theodynn got his wish, the man turning down an alleyway. The Vampire Hunter wouldn’t be hunting that much longer, especially if he kept down this path. Theo would jog up to him, and tap on his back, and Charles would turn to face him. Vampire Hunter: “Yes? Who might you be, that you would tap on the shoulder of one so mighty?!” The Vampire Hunter would chuckle and claps his hands together, staring down at the much smaller man. His toothy, white smile was visible, as were his firey, blue eyes. “All jokes aside, what do you want? I’ve got a schedule to keep, and I can’t waste any time. By that I mean I have all the time I want and I have nothing going on.” Theodynn would put his hand at his side, down where a prism-like charm would hang. It was about the size of his fist, and he put his hand around it. He didn’t have much on to cover his face, just a rainbow-colored bandanna and a pair of shades. He looked up at Charles. Theodynn: “Yeah, just one question. How many people want you dead? Just go get a number, I’ve heard about your exploits.” The Vampire Hunter’s smile gets even larger as he unfolds his hands, looking at him like this was just a normal question. Vampire Hunter: “Sit down. We’ll be here for a while. Let’s start off with religious organizations! The Pope, Tom Cruise, whoever the hell leads the Mormons, probably Je-“ He was cut short by a thin line appearing across his neck, and Theodynn replacing the prism on his belt. Theodynn: “Don’t care. One of them hired me. Don’t even know who. But your corpse has a lot of money pinned on it, so...” He snaps, and blood erupts from Charles’s neck, him falling to the ground. Theodynn snaps a few pictures with his phone, and then begins to walk off, blood now all over he front of his rainbow-colored armor.
Open.
• “Damn. Should get one of those for my ship. And a better ship that’s not a piece of shit junker, for that matter. Do you have any idea where I might buy or steal one, besides from you? Not that I would actually do that.”

 • "A man named JT." She didn't like sharing that kind of information, but so far he was kind enough, so why not?

 • “Ah, heard about him before I came here, actually. Did my homework. He’s one of the more famous people here, actually. Think I’ll have a word about purchasing some parts, then. You know, I have my own android on my ship. She’s a bit of a bitch, but she means well. At least, I’m fairly sure she does.”

 • "Well, don't think he owns any more of what powers me, since he purchased my chassis third party, then later gave me sentience."

 • “Well if he bought it, then he probably knows where to get more. He made it, I’ll pay him to make me one. If none of that works, I’ll get one somewhere else.”

 • She shrugged. "That's up to you, I'm just a messenger. I guess. Whatever that phrase means?"

 • “It means you just told me the information, you weren’t the cause and you didn’t do anything. It’s where the phrase ‘Don’t shoot the messenger’ comes from. You don’t shoot the messenger just because they brought you the news, it’s not their fault.”

 • "Well, then I guess I would be the messenger in this instance. Maybe more as well. I'm not too big on fighting."

 • “Took you as more of the peaceful type. Didn’t look one to punch danger, more to try and talk it down. Are you a pacifist, though? Someone who is against violence vehemently?”

 • "Its not exactly that, but if I have to, I will. But I'll avoid it as much as possible. Personally, I find life... Interesting, I would prefer not to destroy it."

 • “Ah, then we are on the opposite sides of the spectrum. My job is to create or make violence happen. Sometimes to kill people, some times to start a war, sometimes to just teach someone a lesson. First contract’s always free. Gets in the customers, y’know?”

 • She gave a weak smile then. "Well, I guess we are. I like to preserve it, study it in a sense. But some life gets what is coming to it. But if innocents are involved, and I'm around, well we may not meet as friends then."

 • “Well, you have to understand. It’s just business. Nothing against them or their outlooks, or anything like that. When I kill people, I have no problems with them. No qualms. I just have a paycheck and a name. And innocent is a really broad term.”

 • "But if you purposefully cause the deaths of anyone innocent, not related to who you are targeting. And I am around." She knew he would figure it out. The android loved life as a whole, but those who deserved their due... well, deserved it. But if there was innocents involved.

 • “I get what you mean, don’t have to repeat it. But I pull lines at certain points. I’m not a fúcking monster. Children are safe, never take contracts on them. From them is a different story. I never take contracts on the sick, either. I’m not gonna march into a hospital and blow off somebody’s head. Unless they’re a nurse or something, that’s fair game. Nobody’s innocent, Penny. Learn that lesson fast. Real fast.”

 • Her face turned red then. "You get what I meant." She turned then, frustrated. The android may find life fascinating, but it was frustrating. Very frustrating.
