Yes, this could be considered "edgy". Oh well, not like he's constantly dealing with PTSD and brooding like some other people....
In a corner of his room, Bedlam sat on the floor, bouncing a rubber ball against the wall and catching it. Instead of his normal classy attire, he wore a simple white-t and basketball shorts, obviously just dressed for comfort.

The young man sat there with a blank expression, he didn't really look like his happy self, nor did he look angry, or sad, or anything. He looked like he was just there and alive, not feeling anything.

From his eye a tear would fall, his expression still blank and his eyes glued to the ball as he kept bouncing it. Another tear would follow...and then another.

He'd miss a catch, the ball rolling across his floor and out of reach. He just sighed and laid himself down on the ground he was already sitting on, gazing up at the ceiling. Bedlam then put a hand onto his chest...

He felt his heart beat, as if checking to see if he was alive before putting his hand down at his side. The cool air ran a chill through his body, so naturally he curled up a little to try and keep warm. The coolness wouldn't go away though, not the emptiness he felt. It would never pass.

He'd forever feel this pain...this dull pain of not feeling anything. It contradicted itself, but...he didn't know how else to describe it. The idea that your emotions have just shut off and that you don't feel anything at all, it scared him. Bedlam blamed himself, for this must be his punishment for his past sins. This must be his personal hell.

Bedlam sighed, not feeling any motivation to get up or do anything. He just wanted to lie here and just rest. He wanted to give up. He knew though, that people counted on him and that they'd just be hurt knowing about how he felt...or didn't feel. He knew that he just had to put on that fake smile and laugh for another day, for everyone else. If he couldn't feel happiness or love or joy, he thought of it as his life goal to make as many people as happy as he could. To give others what he couldn't give himself.
"Another day..."
Bedlam chuckled and grinned, getting up and changing himself into his normal attire with a simple thought before walking out of his room. He had put back on the mask, the mask he wore so much it would be impossible to tell if it was the real him or not...even he forgot at times.
===========Later at around noon in Dojoville==========
In a circle sat a bunch of kids, Bedlam being the only adult in the group. They all had recorders, so everyone nearby had already ran away, knowing how terrible that noise would be. The kids were terrible at first, causing Bedlam to wince in physical pain from the horrible screeching coming from some of the kids. Eventually, after a lot of practice and guidance from Bedlam, the children were actually capable of playing a few Christmas songs for the holidays. Bedlam smiled at the kids, laughed with them, and congratulated them on their progress before getting up to go.
"I'm sorry, but I can't stay any longer. I've got to go stretch my legs, maybe eat, and maybe go see some of my friends. I'll see you all tomorrow though, won't I?"
The children all nodded before Bedlam gave a last goodbye and began walking away from the kids, running into you around the corner. He immediately apologized.
"Sorry, I didn't see you!"

Bedlam sighed. "....Fine, we'll both get drunk as hell. I'm keeping my eye on you though."
-
"Yeah yeah..." As they walked Alpha'd ask "Who's your girlfriend, anyhow?"
-
Edited by Stitch: 12/22/2017 12:38:15 AM"Oh, you wouldn't know her." He chuckled. "We've also only gone out like, once so it's not that serious."
-
"Oh come on, tell me!" She said with a laugh
-
Bedlam laughed a little as well, dying on the inside as he tried to think of something. "O-Okay, so maybe I am single, but I said that because I'm just not looking at the momemt. I just want to build friendships..."
-
Her smile started to die "Stop lying. Who is it?"
-
"I'm not lying!" He sighed, shaking his head. "Why do people find it so hard to believe I just want to make friends with girls without a dumb relationship?"
-
"Who is it?" She said, stopping and her voice hardening
-
"I just told you! No one." Bedlam's smile weakened, looking as if he were hurt. "Come on, why do you think I'm lying?"
-
"Because you dodged the question as much as possible and refuse to answer." She said angrily "Tell me. Now." Despite Bedlam's powers, there was a sort of authority in her voice.
-
Bedlam shut his eyes and took a deep breath before opening them again, his smile gone. "Alright, but it should be noted that she's the one that asked me out and I didn't flirt with her or anything....So, please don't freakout."
-
Alpha's face paled "Who....who was it?" Her voice got a little weaker
-
"Alpha, I tried not to hurt you by not bringing it up...." He shook his head and sighed. "Pan asked me out on a date."
-
Alpha clenched her fists then. She looked like she would either kill him or explode. Instead, she turned on her hell, and stalked off. "This is why I shouldn't have ever tried with her."
-
Bedlam followed closely behind. "Alpha! Come on, there's no reason why we can't still be friends."
-
"HOW ABOUT THE FACT THAT REGARDLESS OF WHO STARTED WHAT, YOU COST ME THE ONLY PERSON I LOVED, AND SHE'S GOING OUT WITH YOU TO GET BACK AT ME FOR -blam!-ING UP? HMM?" She turned around and shoved him "BUT YEAH, I'M OFF MY ROCKER! I DON'T HAVE ANY REASON TO BE ANGRY!" She stormed off, pulling her dart gun "NOW -blam!- OFF, AND DIE!" She spat back at him as she stomped off
-
"Why would she date me to get back at you? How would that even be getting back at you? I-I don't understand why we can't just hangout, Alpha. I don't hate you or even dislike you. I actually would like to have you as a friend." Bedlam just kept following.
-
She turned around, her face streaked with tears, raising the gun "GET AWAY FROM ME!"
-
Bedlam batted the gun away from himself and got serious. "NO! I refuse to see you miserable like this! I won't let you make yourself depressed and lonely! You're going to be happy if it kills me because I care! I care about you, Alpha! You've probably had very few actually tell you that, let alone mean it, but I do."
-
She just spat in his face, every word he said making her angrier and angrier. Then, she just turned around and ran off towards her ship
-
Bedlam rolled his eyes, the spit simply vanishing as he ran after her. "ALPHA! Come on! You can't just run!"
-
She just ran into her ship and closed the door behind her, locking him out. "GO AWAY!"
-
"No." He just appeared on the inside of the ship at the door. "I'm not letting you do this to yourself. You need a friend."
-
She fired the gun wildly at him "GO AWAY!"
-
The shots pinged against a shield of blue light that shimmered as the rounds bounced off. Bedlam sat down with a sigh. "That's not what a friend would do."
