•Not Just Another World• ———————————– The dead of night laying on the land, the cool of the dry winter air passing by his face, a single snowflake marking the beginning of a white paint to cover the land and the lone alien stepping from his craft. The ramp closed with a clank as he walked away, with trees and his own footsteps polluting the pure sounds of nature. His rather large load of gear shifted and moved on his back, scraping against the pale plates constructing his armor of beetles. The Turian stops and looks up, exhaling a white breath into the chill of the night, seeing the snow drift softly through the sky on the beautiful night. Distantly, he could hear the bustle of the mysterious ‘Dojo’, as he had recalled it to be, a wonderful place filled with mysterious people. He looks forwards toward the mountain, peeking high above the tree line that obscured his vision. There was something very different about this place, an energy that had a perfect balance, and strength. It was encouraging, pushing him on through the land until he reached the open gates of the Dojo. He steps through the sheet of white snow into the city below the mountain, on top of which sat the actual Dojo. “Alright Vaeris, you got this. It’s only a scan...I hope...” He was nervous, scared even. Almost every time he scanned an area, with people or not, evidence of some strange creatures would pop up, then he would get attacked and locked out of wherever he was. Beginning his scan with his Omni-tool, he soon finds that the area is pure. His face lights up in delight, a feeling of pure happiness flowing through him. Out of all the worlds he’s come to, this was the only one that was pure, nothing in it. He continues to scan, moving up the mountain, his armor sticking out like a sore thumb among the nature on the path. He kept coming up with nothing, no weird monsters, or anything. Vaeris was safe, for now. He puts away his scanner, and decides to just stare out at the scenery from the mountain, sighing with delight.
Open, first post in awhile.
• "I'll set you up. You can sleep in the barracks tonight, if you want." Marker offered as the ship lowered itself, slowly but surely making a landing.

 • “Thanks, that’d be great. I haven’t slept in maybe...three days?” Vaeris says as he stands, putting his hand to his forehead.

 • "Is there a reasoning behind that? On the road with constant traveling... Or?" The Kodiak doors opened, revealing a snowy mountain range belonging to the Ko Rudo mountain range. Several buildings were built around the area, painted on them were symbols of the Alliance... Or the Militia. Marker stepped off the Kodiak and Lupi was it with the cold air from the northern mountain range, sending a chill up his back.

 • “Yeah, that and the fact that I can’t shake the feeling that I’m being watched constantly.” The Turian says as he steps out, squinting as the cold hit his eyes, his body keeping warm for now because of his suit. He stares out across the range momentarily, before returning to himself and looking at Marker.

 • "I understand how you feel, Lupi. It aches and plagues you for a long time." Marker started walking, going through the area and entering into a building. Several Alliance Marines and Militia Riflemen were passed as they walked, all nodding their heads to the two. As they stepped into the building, Lupi instantly felt warmer than he had before. Marker led Lupi toward what looked like a command center, a large table being seen in the middle with a holographic image of the Galactic map.

 • There was the sound, directly behind him, of a man clearing his throat, in a loud, and undeniably deliberate fashion.

 • Vaeris turns around and pulls back his hood to reveal his dark head with white markings, having an expression of question upon his face. “Yes...?” He asked, turning to whoever happened to be behind him.

 • There was a man, seeming impatient. "You realise this is a public footpath?"

 • “Yes? You can just walk around me, you know.” Vaeris, with an armored hand, gestures to the few feet of space behind him, the path being a bit wider than Vaeris himself.

 • "Doesn't mean you can just dramatically stare into the distance without getting off the path."

 • “I was enjoying a moment. You ever enjoy anything? Doesn’t sound like it.” Vaeris puts on a smirk, getting smart with the man. He had full confidence if anything happened as well, considering he was 7’4” and had special forces training.
