A curious thought on ghosts (The AI, not the cod game)
No its not about CoD, its about ghosts, the floating AIs. Do they all sound angst and sarcastic or is it a door prize style voice, each ghost has a different voice to the next (within reason). Or would it even be customizable? Just throwing thoughts around, what are yours?

I just hope there's Game of Thrones references coming from my Ghost. I mean, Peter Dinklage is pretty badass. He's also playing a villain in the upcoming X-men movie.

Edited by FairlySplendid: 10/27/2013 5:11:07 PMGhosts are all voiced by the same voice actor. [i]Think:[/i] Cortana, Guilty Spark, HAL 9000, Kit, C-3PO or even the voice of all the computers in Star Trek. You don't just change that on a whim. The Ghost is an important character in the story.

I hope to be able to change color, shape, and gender of voice. Being able to change the color is pretty much confirmed, as you can see in the gameplay demo the warlocks ghost is blue and the hunters ghost (that stays where he died when Rixis kills him,) is a yellowish. Though it would also be cool to change the shape and design of the shell thing that surrounds the orb, the warlocks ghost was kind of shaped like a star.

I believe you will be able to change the voices gender as a fact and the color of it's shell. Other things....well you can put it on your wishlist

It has been confirmed that Ghosts will be customisable but to what extent I do not know.

1 ReplyI reckon it would be cool to have your own personalised ghost, but it would be a random voice so that way you could in a way connect more. (If that makes sense)

1 ReplyEdited by DJenser: 10/22/2013 1:09:29 PMSince Ghost is integral to the player's story line & they hired Peter Dinklage to voice it, I would assume each player's Ghost will have the same voice. Given how many resources are going into perfecting this game on 4 platforms, I can't imagine they'd devote that big a chunk of time & money to doing the same voiceover with more than 1 or 2 big-name actors. Still, it would be cool to think that I could have James Avery (Phillip Banks from "Fresh Prince of Bellair") voice my Ghost.
