  • Mission Statement

Hey Everyone. Our Clan goal is simple, be the first ones to defeat the raid, Vault of Glass! Our primary goal will be PvE aka VoG of course. That's something we will be focused on throughout destiny. After we defeat the Vault of Glass, we can keep farming it to get all kinds of new and power items from it. We will defeat anything in our way. Yes we can do PvP but wouldn't you want to do PvE and VoG first to be over powered when they have Iron banner? We will be unstoppable. We will be recognized by Bungie of our efforts and our accomplishment in being the First to defeat that dirty old raid !

A thread about grenades.

I expect we'll be adding to this thread over time. First, for those who haven't yet played the game, grenades in Destiny have a very flat trajectory. It takes some practice to put them where you want them, and they're almost always going to miss short, rather than long. Each class/subclass has different grenades that do different things. They're all pretty self-explanatory. Grenades are a recharging power, it normally takes 60 seconds for you to be able to throw another one. But this can be reduced to a minimum of 20 seconds with the right gear. Sadly, the right gear changes with level, so when you level up, your recharge won't be quite as fast as it was, but you'll be able to effectively damage slightly higher-level enemies with it. OK, back to where I was originally going with this. We need to come up with something short to say that will warn our fireteam when we're throwing out a grenade. (Even though we're mostly immune to friendly fire, it's still a darned good thing to know.) The standardized thing to shout in the military is "fire in the hole". Which takes about as long to say as it does to unsnap the pouch, pull the grenade from the pouch, grip it correctly, pull the pin, and throw the boomtastic toy. But in the game, we've got maybe one second between hitting the bumper and things going 'splodey. So we're looking at one word, two syllables at most, that's easily-distinguished, and that we won't normally be using in conversation. (In a similar vein, start thinking about what you're going to say to warn your teammates when you're about to launch a Super. Preferably, sub-class specific.)
