Why Bungie, why. The raging of Cross.

When will Bungie get their act together? For the past few weeks, I have heard and seen how much faith has been lost by the long time fans of Bungie. I am becoming one of those. I knew this game will have faults, some very large with others hidden, but the manner that Bungie is trying to address them is not what should have be done. Their tweeking of values every hot-fix is just sad. Those are the acts of novice game creators. Along with their nerfing, and over nerfing of a few things (not going to go in detail since i am raging) was poorly done. Listening to the few loud people versus the majority is another problem Bungie has. Saying this is a team based game, when you can do it all solo, even with a fresh guardian. Raiding is the only true team based aspect of the game, and soon will not be if the "Hot Fix" after the 21st of October goes through.(we will see...) Events (Iron Banner and QsW) were poorly done. QsW was too soon with very little pay out to guardians that already had gear that was equivalent in base states and fully upgraded. Iron Banner on the other hand was more of a success, but still fell well below what it was in the beta. It had one of a kind gear, but nothing better than the legendary gear, or even close to raid gear. If those two events had gear that was better than reputation gear (vanguard and the like) to equivalent or just under raid gear would have made those events better, but only a bit better. The next event needs to be better than these two. If it is not, then many, including myself, will stop playing the game completely. Sorry Bungie. You need to do much better in the coming month before the first DLC comes out if you expect to have people put any more well earned money into this game. This makes me so sad, to rage over a game from a company I love. My heart breaks when I see the game in its' present state. [AG] Armored Guardian Cross1001 x360

  • Now there is something to RAGE about!! Exotics getting an experience wipe when we want them to "come up to par" with the 'upgraded' versions that are coming out with the expansion. There are the very many of us who have each and very exotic and spent days or weeks upgrading them. Either grinding out the XP or farming for the 'location' materials. By having Xur wipe clean all the XP from the fully upgraded gear is a big slap in the face from you [Bungie]. Now we players must do one of two things; hope Xur sells all the gear we need within the next few weeks after the expansion goes live, or we wipe are current gear clean and spend even more time doing something we have already done... Here is a thought among all the fellow players I play with: Add node(s) onto the gear that will take said gear to the maximum output. These nodes could take something extra to 'activate' (use materials after max XP has be achieved) this new maximum output. I do understand what is really going on when you go to Xur and select the "upgraded version." Trade in your current (fully upgraded) Exotic with an amount of currency and Xur gives the player the new version with better max stats with no progress on the XP toward upgrade. But this is still saying to all those with multiple exotics; Have fun grinding out the XP and spending all your marks on location materials or go farm for hours..

  • the only issue i have with Destiny 2 is that we paid 60 to 100 USD for the first (and maybe more to come). I know the following is unfair, but the creators of this did something great. World of Warcraft. One decade in the making, coming from a strategy based game to a rpg. Destiny says it was in the oven for the same time, but Destiny seems to have been made in a quarter of that time. Every 3 (or so) years, Blizzard came out with a large expansion. To play for a year cost about 75 USD, and each expansion is around 50 USD. We pay (for xbox users) 60 USD a year to play and looks like we pay 100 USD for the game just to pay another 100 USD for the next installment of the game but lose everything we built up in the first?! Bungie, my main thought here is to take a page from Blizzard and expand on to Destiny in your own way. If that is in a new disc (expansion disc?) or in a whole new game that will bring over all the gear from the first. Since you created a game that is so FANTASTIC, and many hours of play time has been placed into the game just to get this great content and then have all that personal achievement go to waist on Destiny 2 would be a let down.

As you all know, Bungie has been promising a lot to the community and most of it (upper 90% of it) has not been seen or spoken of since. I have a researching friend that is all about the game; going through any and all news Bungie puts out there. So far he has been right on predicting what bugs are fixed and what bungie will work on next. Any way, my friend has been telling me for the past few days that all the promises Bungie has given will be in the first (or maybe second) expansion. This conclusion is obvious, but places a concern and big expectation on said expansion. *Concern: Is this how Bungie will place community ideas in the game, ie we pay money for "our" ideas... Concern: Will these ideas be done the way the community wants or will Bungie make it their way? *To fix this concern Bungie could add another update system. Once a month, every few months, to bring in something small. (being relative)

  • Good news everyone! The weekly update has shown some light on the next Iron Banner event. Bungie Weekly Update - 10/24/2014 In short: IB will now be more for level 20+. Gear and upgraded weapons will now matter more so than the last IB event. Reputation has a new spin. Tempered; a new rep. boosting consumable item that you may parches from Lord Saladin. Along with this there is Medallion; given when you loos a match, this item will turn into reputation upon your next win. Medallion does stack-up in your inventory, so keep on fighting through each match until you win! IB exclusive armor; it is now equivalent to raid gear, i.e. it will (when fully upgraded) bump you up to level 30. If you want more, hit that link!
