Melee weapons

Knives: Combat knife- 6 inch silver blade, black handle, no pommel. Can cut through ropes and basic things like that. Cleaver- Basic cleaver, a silver blade made for chopping, this weapon can cut through flesh and bone in a matter of hacks. Steak knife- A basic knife, usually for cutting food but can be used as a weapon in some scenarios. Tanto- A daggerlike weapon made by the samurai of old, this weapon was mass produced by ___ arms corps. Swords: Katana- A silver bladed, black hilted samurai sword, it comes in 3 forms, the katana being one of these. Wakazaishi- The second type of samurai sword, the Wakazaishi is a slightly shorter version of the Katana, formerly used to commit Seppuku, or a ritual suicide, by Japanese Samurai and Ronin who had felt slightly dishonoured. Gladius- The Gladius was at one point a common weapon, being largely used by the Roman Empire for close quarters combat, the Gladius is a sharp tipped weapon, with moderately sharp sides. Claymore/Bastard Sword- A weapon used by the Knights of old, this weapon was a very popular weapon in Medieval Europe. One notable group that used it was the Knights Templar. Rapier- A thin and pointed sword with a protected hilt, the rapier uses a thin point to impale enemies, the thin size keeping it from snagging on anything inside the body. Sadly, it has no sharp sides, meaning the only thing it can do is stab. Saber- A common weapon among pirates in the 1700's, this weapon was widely considered one of the workhorses of the seas. Cutlass- The cutlass was another pirates weapon, and probably the most well known due to media coverage from early 21st century movies, giving this weapon a good following among collectors. Scimitar- Curved bladed, guarded hilted blade, this weapon was made famous by the Persian Empire, as this was their workhorse blade. Miscellaneous weapons: Mace- A large stick with a metal object on the end, usually a ball, these weapons can devastate played armour. Whip- The whip is a damn fine weapon if you know how to use it; it can incapacitate enemies, knock them over, hell it can even disarm them after years of extreme training. Warhammer- The Warhammer is a large hammer, usually the size of a Bo Staff. This thing can crush a mans head in a single blow, with enough power. Hammer- A weapon made for denting a suit of armour, possibly to construct your home after, this weapon is slower than any other one handed weapons, yet faster than two handed ones; a mix of speed and damage. Battle axe- The battle axe was used for hundreds of years, notably by Scandinavians, Vikings, and Pirate boarding crews throughout history. It would be VERY hard to use with one hand though, and is best used with two hands.
