Only problem with this is that the Traveler didn't give us "such a bright Golden Age because it was tired of running and wanted to make a stand". Read Rasputin's Grimoire. The Traveler www in the middle of abandoning us to the darkness and saving it's on skin just like it did to the Fallen when Rasputin took drastic measures and saved our asses. Is the Traveler evil? I don't think so. But he's certainly not good.

There is no good or evil. It's a matter of power, and those who are too weak to seek it.
-
From my point of view, the Jedi are evil
-
Good and evil is just so subjective. It should be reserved for fairy tales and not good story telling in games so I really hope it's not a matter of good vs evil. I was actually taken in by The Deep's (The Darkness) philosophy on how to live as I was reading through those Calcified Fragments. But I took a different meaning from it so maybe I misinterpreted it. I interpreted it as life is made to be destroyed and I can't remember why I liked that. I see both Light and Darkness on having different philosophies on how life should be.

No one knows what a theory is these days ._. His videos aren't fact just his opinion/ ideas based on research. It's up to the viewer to agree or disagree on these ideas... NOT TAKE THE THEORY AS FACT!!

Read the goddamn grimoire OP. The Traveler aligned the Fundament's moons to commit planet-wide genocide.

Edited by InfernalArdere: 10/22/2015 1:35:54 AMWhat the hell is the Traveler? Oh, right... That floating ball in the sky you see at the tower. Forgot about that thing, haven't heard anything about it in literally a year since this game came out and they briefly mentioned it in the campaign.
-
What's the traveler?
-
Thank you thank you thank you. I was trying to make a post saying this exact thing, but couldn't find the words, or the time. Plus, I'm not well-known enough for people to listen. Thanks for setting the record straight, Tree. Keep up the good work.
-
The traveler was trying to create the god wave on fundament
thats evil
-
The Great Machine and the Traveler are not the same thing. The Fallen want to "...crack open that depraved Earth-Servitor. To use its secrets to reclaim the Great Machine..." —Translated from Fallen Language. (Taken from the flavor text of Baron's Ambition) The depraved Earth-Servitor is the Traveler. We are protecting the Traveler from the Fallen. The Great Machine was probably the "Dark Mirror of the Traveler" that Xur is quoted as referencing.

Well that was certainly matpat-esque...
pronounced esk... I have no idea how it's supposed to be spelled but oh well
-
I think the only real evil is the loot system that is still completely shit after an entire year.
-
Traveler is only the lesser of two evils.
-
Disregard anyone with spooky in their name.

Edited by SooperSmurph: 10/22/2015 2:13:39 AMMostly right, but you're wrong about the Vex, they're true neutral, servants of time, not evil at all, no motivation against darkness or light or even against biological life, only against threats to Time, such as The Taken King, and arrogant beings who invade Time's Conflux, like Guardians or The Fallen.
-
"We kill people for no reasons in FPS games" So you're a big super soldier that walks into a room, and an alien that is invading your civilization shoots you. You just let him kill you?
-
-
I really hope this culls the opinion that the traveler is evil. I have had to argue that it is good so much lately.
-
-
Well the traveler isn't evil..... at least to us. To the hive the traveler is evil and not because it's light. From what I've gotten from the book of sorrows the traveler was originally with the hive but lady them because of some massive wave or something..... long story short the hive hunt it's for revenge..... for not saving them.... and leaving them to die.
-
Awesome work. That video was so stupid and gay and should not have been made or publicized.
-
in a way the darkness and the light r not "good" and "evil" on both sides the other is considered evil while their own side is good really both r neutral it's just they r opposite death(darkness) and life (light) r both necessary even if you dont want it to be true even tho the darkness is destroying and wiping out species and civilizations, the traveler is doing just as much damage with so many people living long, there would just be too many people

Belief is a wonderful thing, if you were smart then you would realise this game is focuses solely on belief, gods, darkness, light. There is no right or wrong, just like there is not in the real world, there is only belief. Until the last day of this game's cycle this game's mysteries will remain just that.

ALL HAIL THE TREE OF RUIN
but not his seeds?
The speaker pisses me off. I wanna kill him and remove his mask
