New to Destiny confused

I just bought destiny, wow. I used the level 25 boost, having never played destiny before I feel that was a big mistake. I am overwhelmed by what I am supposed to do. Where to go and quest progression. I thought dark souls was confusing, destiny has its own uber large so much shit going on confusing. I am looking for some people to play with psn id gooch_assassin Looking for clans etc or just someone to show me the ropes. I apologize in advance if I have posted in the wrong place. I have read multiple forums but again the scope of this game is huge. I end up reading faqs from year one that no longer apply. PS3 gooch_assassin
