Coloured Rare weapons and armour have no importance anymore.

Exotics used to be the strongest and most powerful. Thanks to TTK all that has been tossed out the window. Whites and greens have been outperforming many of my Blues for dammage. Same for armour. The only advantage to using Blue or higher weapons and armour is for extra stats. They don't have anymore dammage then the others. So about Guns I say wear the highest dammage no matter what the colour. Once your max level then you can worry about getting a weapon with any stats you love because when your leveling up you will be upgrading weapons constantly so getting your stats you love they will be replaced in the next stronger weapon. Armour is a different approch I first played TTK when I joined a DOGS game and we killed the End boss and I was only wearing level 34 armour. High armour is very helpful if you want to melee everything other then that its pretty pointless as Fireteam mates bring you back to life a lot without complaining these days. I deleted all my year one Exotics and Ledgenary collection because White weapons was out performing them. Personaly for me I love to use my super all the time so wearing armour with the highest interlect is way more important to me then any Dammage the armour has. But I will all ways upgrade to Higher level gear until I max out. As you can clearly see colour Raritys are no longer important these days. I also love the concept of picking up a gun and ingoring the stats on the gun. I mean it kills stuff because its powerfull and that's all we need. The rest is just bells and whistles we don't realy need. Edit: When I comes to the last boss he absorbs your light in your armour and ads it to his own. This also reduces our own light making us weaker. I serguest going in there with maxed out weapons and wearing armour with very little light. That way the boss will not increase his starting light.
