Ascending armor
New to this higher level stuff. I snagged 2 Etheric light from Saladan. One I used to ascend my auto rifle to 365.
Now, as I understand, Legendary armor can only be ascended to 42 light.
So I'm guessing, aside from things like strength attributes, it really doesn't matter what peice I ascend, I'll need to do them all to get to 35....
So just ascend my Legendary stuff one Etheric at a time to claw my way to 34-35?
Where else can I get Etheric light?

2 RepliesWait till you get crota armour it's by far the best in the game plus it looks good. Then use your light on that. In the mean time just use the 32 cores. How many characters do you have? If it's three then you can get a possible 6 lights from PoE each week.

3 RepliesIf you havn't got an exotoc armor already you can buy it from Xur. With one exotic you will only need 3 more at 42 to get yourself at 34. Poe is the easiest way. My advise is to safe the lights for Crota weapons for sure. I used it for the vision of confluence. It makes it probably the best scout there is.

If by chance you make it to 7-9 wins in the Trials of Osiris the win packages will most likely either contain a ship, 42 armor, or etheric light.

Your Talking about Armour. I play PoE level 32 for armour cores to buy level 42 amour from House of Elders once a week every week they change the amour you can buy with armour cores. Etheric light I'll get to that in a minit. PoE level 34 you get Weapon cores to by 365 dammage weapons From the House of Elders a different weapon every week. Lets talk Etheric light: Etheric light is not needed to Acend Excotic weapons, I can't remember if Excotic once acended with Excotic core produces 365 Dammage or not. Etheric Light is best used if you find purple weapons and armour with the pufect stats you want, then you use Etheric Light to give the weapon 365 dammage or Armour 42 light. Getting Etheric Light is not really nessary to get to maxed out weapons and armour if your willing to wait for House of Judgement to sell them to you. I have used Etheric Light because I couldn't wait to Level up too. The choice is yours

Edited by Slackomatic: 8/3/2015 3:38:05 AMI look at what the perks are on the legendary gear. Like helments for my titan, I like to have perks like non guardian kills helps boost super back up. So I like my variks helment I got with armor core that's 42 light lvl. My leg armor I look for more heavy ammo but the legs variks sold didn't not have that perk so I ascended so crota legs to 42 light. And so on for the other peices. If you like auto rifles then hunt for armor that gives more auto rifle ammo and faster reloads on autos. After I have a few sets of what I want perk wise then I start looking at intellect and disipline and strength stats. My warlock I always run self res so having high intellect does appeal to me so I try for disipline and strength because most of the time I just hold my self res as a backup. Kinda long but hope this helps.
