Forcing destiny to not pick up garbage gear

I well and trully get sick of having to sort though junk in my back pack all the time like every 30 minits its makes destiny a long drag. I found a way to get your player to reject unwanted crap. Just fill up your 9 spots for primarys or helments and the game will not put the crap in your backpack for primarys or helments now fill up all the other empty spots. I filled up everything and now my player only picks up ghosts anticis and warlock bands. So l am now filtering out what my player collects. For example l am going to need stronger chest piece soon so l will unblock all 9 chest peices buy putting the 9 green filler chest peices into the vault. Now my player will only pick up chest peices as l have unblocked that part of my backpack. Once l am sick of grinding for chest peices l can take the green chest peices out of the vault and put all 9 of them back into my backpack to stop unessary collection. I have tested this system a few times and its faultless. Just remember when in dought check you postoffice garbage dump.
