All i got is before there was six there was three, before there were raids there were strikes. Virginal encounter, first strike? Devil's lair? But then what is this before there was seven there was one? And of course the construction destruction thing is confusing as well.
Before the legends there was this. During a time of construction, before the destruction. I was the one you were waiting for, waiting for that small taste of glory. A virgin encounter, unlike any we had seen before. Before six there were three. Before seven there was one. A precursor to all, written in the scriptures of the gods. Who/what am i? (The answer is specific and id like an explanation)
You are Halo 3. "Before the legends, there was this." -Before Bungie gave up the rights to Halo to go make Destiny, "Become legend", they made Halo 3. "Time of construction, before the destruction." -Once 343 Industries took hold of Halo, many said that it fell off, or lost some of its fan base. "I was the one you were waiting for...small taste of glory." -If I remember correctly, Halo 3 took some time to complete before it finally released, which increased hype and gave everyone a deeper thirst for the "small taste of glory." "A virgin encounter...never seen before." -Halo 3 was unprecedented in quality, if I do say so myself. "Before there was six, there were three." -Bungie made Halo 1-3, but 343 announced they would make all the way to Halo 6. "Before seven, there was one." -I give up.

(The answer is specific and id like an explanation)
This isn't really a guess, just food for thought. Here's what I know: -Whatever "this" is, it was made in one of two times; the Golden Age, or the time before Destiny released. -The "Virgin encounter" had to have been unique from every other encounter, of course, but what does that really mean? Does it mean specifically unique so much as to say unprecedented in all other games, or simply unprecedented technology presented in the Golden Age of Destiny? I would lean more toward Golden Age, simply because you have a narrower array of answers. -"Before six, three" could very well mean the Fireteam members of Destiny's missions. A raid has six members, but before you could go on a raid, you had to grind through some strikes to level up. We all know the struggle. Those two numbers could mean that there was some sort of condensing happening to some aspect of Destiny before it released. Six to three would be dividing by two, so perhaps we're talking about some sort of mechanic changed about Destiny pre-release. I have a theory to test: Vault of Glass. "Before the legends, there was this" -Vault of Glass has been there for "billions of years" according to Dinklebot. "During a time of construction, before destruction." -It was there before the collapse.. There is probably a better fit to this section of the riddle. "The one you were waiting for." -Referring back to the grind concept of Destiny, to gain access to VoG, you had to get through about 100 strikes. "A virgin encounter." -The first raid of Destiny. "Before six there were three." -Before six people would venture to the Vault, Kabr's team possibly had as little as three members. "Before seven, there was one." -This is where I'm stumped. I can't think of seven brought about by one. Makes me think of Game of Thrones. But, I digress. "Precursor to all" -VoG was pretty dang good, so much so that Crota was a let down. "Scripture of gods" -Atheon was considered to be a god, I think, and may be a reference to Atheon's Epilogue's description: "The story isn't over yet. The wielder holds the pen." (Paraphrased)
