  • Mission Statement

    Anyone with an interest in riddling is welcome. 1) Be respectful of others in the group wall. (We'd love it if you respected others outside the wall as well, however.) 2) No LFG or Spam of any kind in the group wall, unless specified by an admin (There should be an LFG post of some sort in the private section of this group's forum. If not, it's coming soon.) 3) We are here for riddling, so try to keep the chat as focused as possible on riddling-related conversation. If the chat is dead, meaningless chatter is okay, just don't clutter the chat with non-riddling things if someone is seeking feedback or the like. 4) If you aren't sure that a riddle will be well-received or you think the riddle may be faulty for whatever reason, ask me (Cadence) or an admin to review it (we have a rep to uphold, can't be shoveling out faulty riddles). I promise we won't guess, and if someone does, I'll kick them myself.

Riddle of the Unholy Trinity

Here's another one for fun. Who/what am I? "[i]Chances have been taken. The choice isn't exactly yours to make. The chamber has been set, and hell's wrath has come for you. Contradicting superstitions can lead to a most beautiful creation. Only some will get what they want, and the rest will just have to wait till their chance is presented. My adversaries are those that I share a name with. I will rise above, only for those who have picked the right side.[/i]" Edit: The answer is not any kind of chest. [b]Hint 1[/b]: [i]An apex predator, stalking its prey. My power can be felt from even the greatest of distances, so tell me: do you feel lucky punk? Do ya?[/i] Winner: HappyMeal75 and YOU PRUNE (He got the answer first in a personal message) Answer: [b]Hawkmoon[/b] [b]Explanation[/b]: Since the Hawkmoon's perks allow for 3 random bullets in the magazine to do bonus damage, you do have to take chances with the weapon, and you have no say in which bullets will have the extra damage (chances have been taken and the choice isn't yours to make). "The chamber is set" and "hell's wrath" refers to how the bonus damage bullets are picked randomly and because the Hawkmoon does so much damage even without the bonus, it hurts like "hell" (lol). The "contradicting superstitions" refers to the Luck in the Chamber perk (good luck) and the 13 bullets in the gun's magazine (the number 13 is considered to be bad luck). "My adversaries are those I share a name with" refers to the Thorn and Last Word, which are similar to the Hawkmoon because they are exotic hand cannons, and they are some of the only guns that can really compete with the Hawkmoon. "Some will get what they want" and "for those who picked the right side" refers to how the Hawkmoon is a Playstation Exclusive right now, but the Xbox users will get their chance soon in September.
