I'm going to be purchasing some Halo novels soon and I want to know, what are your recommendations? I have not read any so any suggestion is appreciated.

The Forerunner trilogy by Greg Bear

I would recommend all of them, however, it'd be quite expensive. I'd recommend starting off with the Nylund Trilogy (The Fall of Reach, First Strike, Ghosts of Onyx), and the Forerunner Saga (Cryptum, Primordium, Silentium).
