  • That's like saying a driver is more effective than a putter or a Phillips is more effective than a torx.

  • Lol no it ain't... A nightfall, a raid anything meaningful you can't get close enough to make a shotgun style effective without being -blam!-ed up quickly, in my opinion... Snipers are more effective at the challenging aspects of pve all round... Nothing to do with golfing or DIY

  • I love to snipe, don't get me wrong here. It's impossible to argue that shooting a target in the head with a large caliber round from so far away that he never sees you is the best possible way to fight a battle. When you can. That's the trick. You can't snipe every enemy just like you can't hit every golf shot with a driver and you can't screw every screw with a torx. Shotguns fill a niche that needs to be filled in this game. Almost all enemy types have some form of close quarters rush attack and often they close the distance to make that attack because you're busy with other enemies. Melee can only do so much damage and it resets slowly between each shot. Shotguns however can lay down one shot kills one right after the other and absolutely end a rush of thralls or even stealth vandals if you do it right. You can't do that with a sniper rifle.
