"What's your go-to pulse rifle?" @DeejBNG

Well, in PvE content that involves crowd control and putting an end to waves of mobs, it's Bad Juju. In PvP, I prefer to use Red Death as it allows me to kill my prey and keep going without hesitation. However, I'm using these Pulse rifles for their secondary exotic characteristics. Were they merely legendary without their respective perks, I wouldn't touch them. And I barely use them as is, only when I'm feeling frisky; there's always a different weapon type that's better. I would like to use this thread to gather Pros and Cons for the Pulse Rifle weapon archetype. Please post your opinions on what is good and what is bad. Pros: *Dispenses bullets faster than anything other than Auto Rifles, and with a crit modifier higher than Autos. *Decent zoom for mid range engagements *I'm finding it very hard to write pros, and have been scraping the bottom of the barrel since the beginning... Send help. Cons: *Magazine size on the highest rate of fire Pulse rifles seems to be 30, without Field Scout, which is 10 bursts. This is like having a scout rifle with a magazine of 10 and bullets which occasionally do less damage (to make sense of missing some bullets in a burst). *Crit modifier should match Scout Rifles. It's a mid to close range precision weapon, and should be treated as such. *Base zoom (and inherent field of view reduction) may be too high. I should be most effective when equipped with a pulse rifle while taking on an enemy somewhere between Auto rifle and Scout rifle range, but this becomes hard to do when I'm zooming in for Scout rifle range. *Low range. Should have current Scout rifle range, while Scout rifle range is doubled. *Low accuracy mid-burst. These weapons kick like a mule in the middle of a burst. The stability of Pulse Rifles should be like that of a laser mid-burst. It should kick on the final round of each burst. *Pulse rifle perks are generally pretty bad. The perks specific to them are based on the user missing rounds, it's as if Bungie intended for them to be bad. I would change hidden round to "If all 3 shots of the burst land precision damage, it fires a fourth, at the cost of no ammunition." and Headseeker to "Landing consecutive headshots increases precision damage for a short time." or "Killing an enemy with precision damage increases precision damage for a short time." That's all I've got. If you've got more suggestions to give Bungie, please post them and I can edit them into the list for easier viewing. I will give you credit. Please also let me know if you disagree on any points I've made in either Pros or Cons.

 • Been using Pulse Rifles for the last couple weeks because everyone hated on them so much, I wanted to give them a fair shake. First one I got was Three Little Words. Obviously it stands out from the rest of the current legendaries with its stellar impact. After leveling it and using it for a week, I found that it is a very capable weapon that would benefit immensely from either Outlaw or Field Scout. Either one would really make it really stand out. The next one I got was Coiled Hiss. I had less hope for it because of the low impact, but once I got it the RoF was the first that I found on a legendary that lived up to what I thought they should have. Unlike Three Little Words, it also has Outlaw and along with the stability perks, it is the Pulse Rifle I'd always wanted to find. Have used it for the last week and it really is a great weapon.
