1200 here, never even seen one drop in game for anyone, ever.
-
I had a buddy with about 100 hours get one in front of me out of the abyss chest before patch.
-
1200 hours of doing what exactly? Please count the numbers of your hard mode (any raid) completion and you will see your problem.
-
I don't need to count anything? x3 nightfalls every week, x3 weeklies, played the crucible until bored to death, over 700 strikes, cryptarch level 126, hit the exotic chest in the vault every week x3, deathsinger every week, crota's chest before patch x3 etc etc etc I did the hard raid once for the experience, I have no interest in spending hours finding groups to struggle with the same glitches and bugs, people leaving etc. It's just not worth the time. Does not doing a hard raid somehow disqualify me from seeing or getting this weapon?
-
It doesn't disqualify you but it takes away about 2/3 of all weekly chances for exotic drops. Each HM Atheon kill gives you double exotic drop chance. Same with Crota. That's 12 more chances of exotic weapons drop each week when you play 3 characters. Nightfall is not a good substitution because expanded loot pool with all the exotic armor mixed in.

Like the week I picked up three no land beyond from crota? I think I've put more than enough hours, done everything to death. Crota kill solo hunter no gjallarhorn: http://youtu.be/1ZH5IwxmtKM That's me killing crota solo. Watch what I get at the end. I got the exact same thing from every checkpoint on that particular raid, and then for good measure the exact same thing on my other Hunter, the whole thing done solo twice. I'm tired of it, that's all.

Edited by FlyingHotPot: 2/7/2015 6:11:30 PMYou clearly know what you are doing. All I am trying to say is that its not about how many hours you clock in Destiny, its about what you do. Strikes and Crucible are clearly not the way to go when hunting for exotic weapons. The most unlucky guy in my raid group clocked about the same amount of hours as me (no where near 1200hours! More like 400-500hours)with the same completion rate, got his first Gjallarhorn last week, from an Atheon HM kill. But he already has all of the other exotic weapons. Consistent weekly raid completion is the most guaranteed way to get exotic weapons. There will be stretches of weird multiple duplicate drops, sometimes for weeks or even months, but its a lot more reliable than any other available activity in Destiny. BTW. If you are on PS4 and need a regular raid group, message me and we will get you a Ghorn somewhere down the line.

I hear you, I'm just frustrated is all :) I'm on Xbox one unfortunately, but thank you for the offer.
-
I hope it comes your way soon. You deserve it
-
Same as me buddy, except I'm at nearly 1100 hours.
-
What do you do with your 1000 hour? I got around 370-400 hours on this game still managed to get the same grimoire score and 3 32s on all 3 classes. Hope you will find ghorn soon enough
-
I've remade probably about 20 characters (that's why all my characters aren't 32) As for grimoire I really only have crucible crap I don't play, grinding specific monster kills or weapon grimoire.

Ouch :(
