Yes they absolutely can be infected. Johnson just got lucky with his immunity.
-
Johnson survived because of his Spartan 1 modifications. I don't know if they changed the enhancements from Spartan 1 to 2
-
WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT??????? Johnson had absolutely no Spartan modifications. He had a neurological condition that he got from using a few crates of plasma nades and then refusing treatment. That is what made him immune.
-
You really believe that? He was part of the Spartan 1 project, code named ORION. They were the first super soldiers put into service by the UNSC. They participated in Operation Trebuchet. The Illness Johnson has, Boren's Syndrome, was made up by ONI to cover up ORION after it was shut down. Soldiers that experienced its symptoms were candidates of ORION integrated into the UNSC Armed Forces. Their modifications enabled them to have immunity from the Flood. I'll post a few links.

Since I posted that I have been proved wrong. My thesis has been rendered invalid.
-
Yes, but not all Spartan 1s are immune. Johnson got lucky with his enhancements.
-
Johnson is not even sort of a spartan. He has no enhancements. He is just a normal (but boss) marine.
-
Do I get geek points, too?
-
Sure, take 20.
-
No Johnson was a spartan 1 look it up
-
You're delusional. The Spartan 1s failed. Johnson is just a boss who got lucky.

Look it up

Where? If I get proof from a reliable source then I will renege my statement and give you +50 geek points.

Very well. +50 Geek Points to sir *tips hat* I did not know that.

You learn something everyday
-
No. They have genetic modifications that render them immune (I think) to the Flood, or at least just Sergeant Johnson.

Edited by Beeburrito: 2/10/2015 9:00:17 PMNO. WRONG. Johnson had a neurological condition he picked up from using several hundred plasma nades from one crate during a battle. He refused treatment, and so now, in his words: "I guess I wasn't very tasty" He is immune. Spartans are not immune. Edit: this thesis has been rendered invalid.

Just Sgt. Johnson.
