The atmospheric pressure on VENUS makes it hotter. Although this is something you should learn in school, it is also readily available on the internet.
Also, I have a belief that the left time portal in the VOG raid is mercury and not mars.
The crucible match on Mercury is in ancient vex architecture which looks identical to that on VENUS. Also the grimoire suggests that the vex previously inhabited Mercury.
That then leads to believe that Mercury is past and VENUS is future.

The portals take you to a past and future version of the same room. They do not bring you to another planet lol.

Go to the raid, inside each portal the layout is the same. ....it's Venus past before the Terra forming and future after Really quite easy to grasp

Vog time portal IMO is all vog just past an future vog . As the area is practically the same.

Was just about to say this. The portals just take you to past and future Venus, I believe.

That's all it is but most are used to the call outs so I leave it alone.

Yeah, it's ingrained in to people when they call out a portal now.
