Your analogy is terrible.
This would be like buying a computer and discovering that the minefield game you were going to buy in a few months was on it already, though currently unfinished and unplayable. This doesn't affect the operation of the computer itself though.
You didn't pay for minefield, you paid for the computer. You can unlock minefield when it is ready. Whether you or I like it or not is irrelevant.
