Guys,
Mercury can't be in the game because it's the hottest planet in the solar system. It basically touches the Sun's CMEs and we would all be dead immediately due to radiation and heat. Why do people want to go to a molten rock and fight the vex? These things blow my mind.
Why do people keep saying VENUS is hotter than Mercury? You guys need to learn the order of the planets.

What about the crucible map? Also the vex have completely taken over it
-
You do realize Venus's atmosphere rains sulfuric acid correct...?

If they made a map on there it could like in mass effect 2 when you go to tali's home planet and you have to run from shaded spot to shaded spot so you don't get killed.

This guy is an awesome troll

Edited by Dogshore: 2/3/2015 3:59:07 PM1) The Burning Shrine (PvP map) is on Mercury. 2) The Traveler terraformed our entire solar system, making every planet habitable. 3) The Vex transformed the entire planet into a machine.
-
When the traveler showed up, humans started making technological advances, one of which was to colonize hostile planets. Mercury, Venus, mars, and the asteroid belt where now all colonized. They turned mercury into basically a giant greenhouse, it was used for agriculture and what have you, to feed the rest of the planets. Earth was basically the home point for most, Venus was the higher class earth, being used to educate and learn, this is also where they studied the darkness before the collapse. After the collapse, the vex took control of mercury and "turned it into a machine in days." They show the process by what you see on Mars, and, more in detail, venus, hence why the vault of glass is ON venus. Now, this is all from speculation as well as in game hints and lore from the wiki, so not all of this may be correct, so don't quote me.

Please tell me you saw why you were wrong as soon as you posted this and played burning shrine.

Mercury is on pvp and isn't too hot. Btw, fun fact: distance to sun isn't determinant of temperature, it's length of days primarily. Which is why earth is actually closer to the sun in winter than in summer. Mercury isn't in pve because it's not inhabited by any species since the vex hollowed it out, which would make for meaningless gameplay

Edited by LIGHT26: 2/3/2015 3:55:45 PMPlayed on mercury this morning. It's a PvP map. After the game it takes you to orbit right above mercury and the sun is right next to the planet. Pretty cool

Mercury is in the game.
-
-
But it is in the game
-
I just played the PvP map on Mercury last night.
-
Why do we have a Pvp map on it ???
-
It's already in the game
-
Ya, we have a pvp map on Mercury. It was transformed into a machine world.
-
In the opening scene(the one voiced by the speaker) it says Mercury froze in the golden age
-
I dont think the heat would do much besides burn the hunters cloak with super advanced armor containing suitible living enviroments.... The main thing is the planet is a lost cause, a civilization compleatly taken over by the vex and is not worth the recources and guardians to try and reclaim it.............. Lets just nuke it
-
Oh you are such a Dennis the menace!

Was gonna say something, but I saw your name and I lol'd
