Guys,
Mercury can't be in the game because it's the hottest planet in the solar system. It basically touches the Sun's CMEs and we would all be dead immediately due to radiation and heat. Why do people want to go to a molten rock and fight the vex? These things blow my mind.
Why do people keep saying VENUS is hotter than Mercury? You guys need to learn the order of the planets.
-
Plus the entire planet is just one big machine
-
I hope this is a troll. Venus is hotter because it's atmosphere is out of control greenhouse effect while mercury basically has no atmosphere. As for the lore of this game the traveler terraformed mercury into a garden world prior to vex invasion.

Just stop. Trying to justify your point hash tagging science, we are playing a fictional sci-fi video game where when we die a clone is made of us automatically and teleported to the spot of our death. You lose your argument comparing it to real life because (surprise!) it's no where close to the reality we live in no matter how many #becausescience hashtags you spam.

You really don't know nothing about science , you probably failed that class when in highschool lol Venus is way hotter then Mercury, reason because Mercury is airless world, not unlike the moon. Venus, has a very thick atmosphere of CO2, which adds incredible pressure and traps in the heat. (Therefore even if Venus is farther away , Venus is the hottest planet in the solar system

PVP map. It's been said but I am saying it again.
-
This just in op still sucking dick no end in sight.. here's another fact the planet's in our present time are not the same as the ones in destinies time frame, setting as Venus abd mars have trees and vegetation that should not be there, and also the fact that Venus should be raining sulfuric acid 24/7 meaning our gear literally allows us to visit these planets without worry, now shut up and play the game, as it's just that.. a game
-
It's gonna be in the game. Already coded into the game, I have proof.
-
There is literally a pvp map on Mercury that will be the center point of trials of Osiris, also, ITS A VIDEO GAME!!!
-
We have suits Bitch
-
You're missing words that were literally said in the intro. Mercury was a garden world until it was turned into a machine world by vex. We also play a map on it in pvp called the burning shrine.
-
Pvp Mercury map... nd it's outside on mercury (1/3 of map)
-
Yes but because game though? Isn't it?
-
The traveler has the ability to artificially increase the moon's gravity to match that of earth, if it can change the gravitational constant of a moon or planet then it would have the ability to move one.
-
There is a PVP map on it already. And if you recall the traveler can change planets to render life (ie venus) This universe is not a mimic to ours.
-
Burning Shrine crucible map is on mercury. It's technically in the game
-
Edited by Hippo_Legacy: 2/5/2015 8:01:32 PMYea and there aren't cities on Mars or venus, it's sci-fi with space magic, Mercury could be habitable with the proper shielding. It's also a vex planet so they could've changed some shit. But whoever is saying Venus is hotter than Mercury is a damn fool. Edit: turns out I'm the damn fool, thanks ubn for providing facts, Venus is about 35 kelvin hotter than Mercury due to its atmosphere trapping the solar heat.
-
Maybe the vex have built an anti heat shield around it or something.
-
So we can pvp there but we can't pve bc then we would die? You do know one off the pvp maps is in mercury?
-
Its a video game bro, logic need not apply. Did you forget there is a crucible map on mercury, the burning shrine? Which obviously takes into account that mercury actually is close to the sun, hence the name of the map and the massive sun blazing in the background. Derp
-
Do you even astrophysic, bro?
-
Op is a retard
-
Guys. There's a crucible map on Mercury...
-
Edited by Nate the Crook: 2/5/2015 6:19:36 PMVenus is hotter due to its runaway greenhouse effect.
-
Venus's atmosphere makes it the hottest. Total greenhouse gas affect going on so we should be completely boiled in our armor on Venus
-
You're name is familiar are you a famous astrophysicist?
