I love my old A1 with firefly. Still my go to scout for nightfalls etc. another NitC is quite nice but lacks the impact that I want from my scout rifle. I'd get the saterienne rapier but not being that into PvP it's unlikely.

That gun is the only reason I'm grinding through the crucible now (I'm not that good). The Fang of Ir Yût is the only gun I've used recently that has made me almost forget my VoC
