Vision of Confluence is the top scout rifle. -Full auto -Stability increase w/ damage -Solar damage and if the perks are set right the stability is almost maxed as is. So as you are dealing damage you will virtually have no recoil. This rifle also devours witches. nuff said

  • I never understood why full auto is such a good perk on pulse rifles and scout rifles. With such a moderate rate of fire it takes no effort to pull the trigger at their max fire rate. Shotgun is the only full auto I see as useful, and even then only if you are spraying in pvp.

  • Full auto makes the gun an auto rifle, not a scout rifle...just saying

No, it has the fire rate of a scout rifle, just keeps firing of you hold the trigger.

  • Hence why I classify it as an auto rifle, it fires in a fully auto format. Rof dosnt matter

  • Technically speaking, yes, it is FULLY automatic. However, if you know the definition of an AUTOMATIC weapon, you'll know that all of the weapons in this game, except for NLB (and maybe a few others), are automatic weapons, even the other scout rifles, so you can be a technicality turd and say it should be an "auto rifle", but then you need to not be ignorant and realize that ALL of the scout rifles are "auto" rifles in that sense.

  • Yes, I do know the automatic definition, but that's not we are discussing here. The game classifies fully-automatic rifles as auto rifles, burst fire rifles as pulse rifles, and semi-auto (single shot per trigger pull) as scout rifles. The point I am makeing is that since the VoC has the full auto perk, I classify it as an auto rifle, not a scout. You obviously are missing the point that I am trying to make

I must've missed where it actually defines those, and I don't recall it saying that, though I may be wrong. Nonetheless, you say Destiny/Bungie considers it an auto rifle if its fully automatic, then say that YOU consider the VoC an auto rifle, however, Bungie/Destiny obviously considers it a Scout Rifle.

  • Stability beyond zen moment is useless on VoC, you're better served with field scout. There is no noticeable difference in recoil between it with perfect balance and without. I've found this to be true of most scout rifles with decently high stability.

  • The voc used to be the best. Fang, another nitc and rapier are all better. Stability on scouts is over rated. The rifles settle before the next chit can be fired. All 3 of the rifles I listed have the same rate of fire and impact as the voc but they all hit harder. They do a little over 200 more dps per second than the voc. That's HUGE. It's fling to be an even bigger gap come HoW. I posted the test numbers not long ago. Another nitc spanks the voc for anything other than solar damage.

Solar and full auto. I had Another NiTC and I didnt like it. Maybe it was the roll I got. I also had Badger CCL and didnt like it (again the roll could be the reason). I havent played with the other 2. I do however really like the VoC. If the new raid scouts did elemental damage then to me they would be competition. I find VoC to be very useful for me.

  • I didnt mean to say raid lol I meant DLC. If I got the Fang of Ir Yut I would use it over VoC as the damage is greater and it still does elemental. For the time being VoC is my preferred scout.
