Hey all! I think we can agree that the more you put into a game, the more you should get out of it. Time, effort... and money. Not just in-game currency, but our hard-earned cash. That's right, I am suggesting microtransactions be added to Destiny. These would be purchased in the Tower, from Special Orders. Why? Because with the revenue generated from microtransactions, DLC's and expansion content can be offered at a reduced price! Everybody wins!
Here's a list of what I've come up with so far:
Glimmer packs (offered in various scales)
Heavy Ammo packs ($1 for 5)
Strange Coins/Motes of Light($1 for 3)
Engram packs ($1 for 3 blue engrams, $3 for 1 legendary engram)
Exotic packages ($10 for an exotic engram for the slot of your choice, heavy engrams are $15)
XP buff ($4 for 15% buff)
Destination materials ($1 for 100 of your choice)
Exotic shards ($1 for 2)
Raid Starter Pack ($10 for a random 2 pieces of Crota armor and random 2 normal mode weapon drops)
Subclass Max! ($15 to max out a character subclass)
Ascendant > Radiant materials ($1 to exchange 5)
Add yours to the list!

You're not serious right? If you are, then.... heavens, no. That would be a terrible idea. First of all, you're making a power balance here. The richer gamers automatically win becuase they'll always have easier access to items poorer players couldn't afford and therefore would have to buckle down even more just to keep up. Second of all, that devalues EVERYTHING in the game. Exotics lose any shred of value they had left, as would Raid gear. It would make Raiding itself obselete. And once that's done, what do you have left when you've got EVERYTHING from PVE? Third, what makes you think Bungie wouldn't just screw us over and release the DLC at normal price anyway? I mean hey, "they paid for all this stupid shit. They would buy this no matter what the cost!"

So much NO NO NO to this there isn't enough NOPE to cover it!! Dr NOPE!!!! Hell NO!!! No way!!! Etc Etc

Don't even joke about that.
-
Funny thing is, he's serious
-
If I buy an exotic engram for 10 dollars I won't feel like I earned it.
-
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, no, niet, nien, nada, nunca, just no, noooo, don't give them ideas, noooooooooooo!
-
Raid packages lol , you don't even have to play the raid just buy raid packages! How -blam!-ing stupid is that, an all of the other ideas. Not this game, would never work sorry my man
-
Hi, you must be rich.

Well I will say it without being an asshat about it. Although it seems like a good day I think it would really hurt the game in the long run. Part of the reason why people "grind" in the raids/Nightfalls/ROC etc. is to get the most sought after items in the game. If you take that part out of the game it will surely be dead before Comet drops in the fall. As much as I curse RNG for giving me One Way Ticket 000 for the 4th time in the Nightfall instead of the Gjallarhorn or some other priceless exotic. I would rather have it drop for me and feel a bit accomplished in the world of Destiny. Allowing for the sale of all of these items would take away the point any of us play this game and would pretty much turn it into Clash of Clans or FarmVille in the sense that you won't really have to play the game to accomplish anything. I figured I would give my dissenting opinion without being a jackass about it, like most of the other commenters have been. Give em hell Guaridan and never give up!

You could work for EA. Getda-blam!-outahere!
-
Shut the -blam!- up you stupid -blam!-, you are the reason gaming is slowly dying to microtransactions.
-
How do you say no in English?
-
Your fired
-
Go back to EA please
-
Effing hell noo
-
-
-
No. Micro transactions are a plague on gaming. If you encourage this soon we will have to pay $2.99 to have our console games come without ads every 5mins.
-
Of all the posts that Bungie says they hear us, this would be the one they implement. Lol
-
-
Shut the -blam!- up
-
-
You're a terrible person and you should feel bad. Microtransactions? Please kindly find your way off this planet.
-
Microtransactions are the worst thing to happen to gaming. If they must exist, and they do because idiots keep throwing their money away on these stupid things, then it should be cosmetic items only that don't impact any portion of the actual game.
