This guy makes a lot of valid points about markets and equilibrium prices, but he doesn't seem to understand them fully. Remember that this is a franchise, not a single game. If the consumers are dissatisfied with the first installment, the entire franchise will suffer. If the franchise suffers, Activision and bungie will lose money. If they lose money, they will be more vulnerable to competition.
On the flip side, games are becoming exponentially more expensive to produce, especially for multiple platforms. So please understand that an optimal equilibrium between cost, revenue, customer satisfaction, development times, server maintenance, and other uncertainties is very difficult to determine in the relatively new market that is video games, but also expect the growing pains to ease over time. A free market is ruled by the consumer.
