Is the Flood still active on Delta Halo? If not, that's a plot hole the size of the portal over New Mombasa. Much of them went to High Charity, but I highly doubt they all got off the ring.
Also, how the heck does the Gravemind get his tentacles many many miles from the crashed High Charity on the Ark to the control room where the Prophet of Truth is?

Delta Halo was glassed. As for the Gravemind, the same way he grabbed Chief from the library in Halo 2.

Yeah, and doesn't the Gravemind have access to the High Charity's slip space systems? So he could in theory keep a constant portal running and just stick his tentacles through?
