Dark souls 1 is stupid hard. First time without using the internet is something a very very very very small amount of people managed

I didn't find it particulaly hard, but I was used to the mechanics from demon souls. The souls games punish mistakes, it's just about learning what to do from your mistakes. Once you figure out what to do it's really not that hard.
