Mars is red because of the content of the dust/sand. Mars is not the furthest planet from the sun, Uranus is(Lol, who ever named this planet should win a Nobel prize then be fired.).

This is true the plant appears red from our view. From the surface mars looks like any barren place on earth.

Good I'm proud of you. Your the first one to notice.

Yea good spot mate

It red because of rusting iron. The planet is full of it.
-
If humans don't live there how would there be iron?
-
You really think iron "follows" people?
-
Iirc iron is formed naturally when giant stars run out of lighter elements they use for fusion such as hydrogen and helium before they die. If they're large enough and have enough energy, they will start producing the heavier metals.
-
Uh, in a sense I guess. It's red because of iron (di)oxide(I think, I'm a little "RUSTY" on my astrology.)
-
Max is right. The planet was once covered in iron when it was created. The iron was exposed over time and turned to red rust.
-
Some people still don't know lol, that's why it's relic iron in destiny
