O,o what the actual f**k?
mars isn't the furthest planet from the sun.
while it's theorized that mars, at one time, had liquid water, and possibly even life, it currently has no protective magnetic field like the earth does...scientists suspect that it did, at one time, but that it collapsed, allowing solar wind to slowly strip away the atmosphere. this loss of atmosphere would have caused liquid water to evaporate away into space, leaving only the solid ice at the poles, intact.
the sand is the color it is, because of the high iron content.
these things most likely confuse you, because you slept through every science class you ever had in school....

You beat me to the explanation although your's was a little more comprehensive! You forgot to mention that the size of the planet was probably what led to the planet cooling, stalling the electromagnetic field. It also couldn't keep hold of its atmosphere due to its weak gravitational field.
-
yeah, i left a few minor details out, lol...i didn't want to....-puts on sunglasses-...blind him with science YEEEEEEEAAAAAAAHH!
-
There was the danger of that at "O,o" in your post!
-
shit, you're right....do you reckon i should tone it down? maybe instead post a picture, drawn in crayon, that illustrates my points in the most simplistic way possible?
-
Don't where you're from but hopefully you've watched a film called Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels! One character is played by ex soccer player Vinnie Jones. He has a memorable scene where (as an organised crimelord's debt collector) "Do you want me to draw you a picture?" Fantastic film!
-
lol, that is one of my favorite movies... have you seen "Snatch"? that's another one of my favorites..

Edited by KebintheGervil: 1/27/2015 10:35:38 PMI bought the two disc version! Saw Layer Cake as well. Didn't get to see rock n rolla though. By the sound of it you may be from the UK.

Edited by SnakeDoc518: 1/27/2015 10:42:40 PMnaah, i couldn't live in the UK...they don't let 'em have any shooters, lol i just have an appreciation for good movies, the BBC, and english humor.. some of my favorite shows(and radio) comes from the BBC
-
Fair enough! British humour, some of the best and driest humour in the world. I am biased though!
-
it's also not hobbled by political correctness, or any of the silly stuff in american humor, like being reliant on bodily functions... it's a very refreshing change...if it wasn't for the whole gun thing, and the PM being a tw*t, i'd probably move to the UK..
-
My missus and I do share a love of Friends so US humour does have good points! Most people in the UK are glad about the (relative) lack of guns. BUT! You will still find pubs that still have shooting ranges. The general election in May should prove interesting...

Edited by SnakeDoc518: 1/27/2015 11:04:50 PMFriends? lol, worst show ever made, if you ask me...then again, i detest most "sitcoms"....hell, i hate TV in general...VERY difficult to separate the garbage from the decent stuff..and then the decent stuff gets canceled, because nobody wants to use their brain anymore, so it gets replaced with another f**king tallent competition reality show.... netflix is my best friend....i can get most of the best shit from here, and all the really great shit you lot over there, make......while the BBC does, from time to time, cancel decent shows, it happens far less than over here....or at least it would appear that way from where i sit..

I'd have to disagree about the Friends thing. Top show. But yes, lots of rubbish on television. If you want a thoroughly non PC comedy, have a look at The IT crowd. Very funny, especially if you work in IT. Unfortunately, the Netflix we get is nowhere near as good as the US or Canada I'm told.
-
i've seen that floating around netflix..if it's still there, i'll add it to the queue.. i'm gonna send you a PM, matey, as i'm enjoying this convo, but it's totally off topic, lol

Your carry on!
