Why would the furthest planet from the Sun not be covered in ice and look like a desert? Space Magic? These things confuse me
-
My Very Educated Mother Just Showed Us Nine Planets. In order from the sun out. Using the first letter of the words in this sentence to be the first letter of the planet that's in that position. Mercury Venus Earth Mars Jupiter Saturn Uranus Neptune Pluto. OK Pluto might be relegated to planetoid or whatever but it still works.
-
The Ice Lice, a temperature boundary in which if planets are far away enough from the sun, things like water and gas condense and turn solid. Earth Mars, Venus and Mercury are all inside of it and therefore, terrestrial planets. this is also why Saturn's rings are made of ice. That's it in a nutshell, I know this is a troll post but I wanted to have my fun. "this is not a troll post" Oh really? Opportunity's 11 year anniversity on mars

Oh man, I'm not trying to be a jerk, but some of you guys need to give this game a rest and pick up a science book. I'm hearing a lot of silly things out of gamers these days.
-
Uh, what?
-
Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, asteroid belt, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune/Uranus (the orbits of these 2 planets cross so they switch places as the furthest), Pluto, kuiper belt then finally the oort cloud.

OMG U CANT JUST ASK WHY SOMETHING'S NOT WHITE RACISM 100% CONFIRMED
-
Iron rich soil. Red does not mean hot.
-
mars is actually quite close to the sun..
-
Bro, I was literally just wondering this! Weird stuff.
-
Ok NDT, I think you need to go back to school and look at the poster of planets. Or try to be a bit better of a troll

Edited by ProximaCent4uri: 1/28/2015 9:59:24 AMMars is the 4th rock from the sun and it's actually a browny color, the iron oxide in the "atmosphere" is what makes it look red to us . obviously Mars doesn't have a breathable atmosphere.

Mars I'm afraid is not the farthest planet from the sun lol
-
Mars is the 4th furthest planet from the sun, not the furthest. And is has an Ice Cap. The whole planet is not covered in ice because there's no water to freeze.

Edited by iTz Uk NaYZeL: 1/28/2015 9:15:02 AMMars is not the furthest planet from the sun :/ lol

Just a heads up, water is not needed to make every type of ice. Ice as we know it is frozen water. Other chemicals, liquids and mediums can freeze also...Frozen carbon dioxide is DRY ICE for example. If a planet has Ice, it could be a case that although there is no water, there could be carbon dioxide or another "air" that could solidify and form ice. Just my 2p....carry on

A few minorities moved in and you know, time to go!
-
Because Mars is brown and red.
-
Are you a wizard?
-
Its red because the surface is basically rusted iron
-
Not sure if serious, but Neptune is the furthest planet from our star. Mars with the right atmosphere would be tempered much the same as our earth, due to it's lack of atmosphere it's a world of extreme temperatures.... Iv never seen Mars "white" before from our orbiters, looks rust coloured to me
-
It is the Furthest Terrestrial planet from the sun though

YOU DUMB FRICKIN SHIT! THERE'S NO WATER THERE AND IT'S NOT THAT FAR FROM THE SUN!
