I read a green text from this guy who spent a lot of time with his dad playing star fox 64. At the end of the game this guy would always take the easier, lower route, because the upper one was too hard.
His father died not too much later though, at a fairly young age.
After sorting through some old boxes, many years later, the op found star fox 64 and his old n64. So naturally he played it.
When he got to the end of the game, he decided it was time to take the upper, harder path.
If you've done this, you'd know that star fox, whose father also died at a very young age, feels like he can't win. But then his father's ghost emerges and helps him win.
This essentially caused the man to have the most emotional moment of his life through a video game.
