Let's compare the situation with FF14. When it launched it was a disaster. It was so broken and universally hated, Square Enix scrapped it and started over after deep involvement with the player community. Why? Because as a subscription based mmo, you MUST listen to players, or your game dies. There is a clearly defined imperative to keep the players challenged, engaged, and happy. None of this applies to Destiny because it has no subscription. Therefore, Bungievision is not beholden to player wants and needs. They are only beholden to, you guessed it, the shareholders, who want to see DLC sold numbers and a huge active player base. If you wanna get serious, buy one share of Activision stock and make your voice heard.

Edited by Niles_Paine_: 1/26/2015 7:43:33 PMLOL they couldn't pay ME to take a hold in that company. They are the bane of the gaming world and one of if not the most greedy companies in the industries. Shame on me for thinking otherwise because they signed with a well credited known developer. I get it. I'm not naive to the whole thing. It's just a joke to me. However, even though it's not subscription based, you can't have a 10 year plan without a consumer base. Or you can, so to speak, but it will certainly not come to fruition! You can't keep leaving steaming bags of hot fiery dog crap on people's porches and expect them not to react. I think my point is, regardless of their structure, without a player base there would be no game. And if they think Activision gives a crap about them as a company they have another thing coming. If the numbers aren't there and the $$$$ aren't matching up, they'll dump Bungie, cut losses and turn this into the next CoD if they haven't already!!
