If you're like me and you rush past everything, but there's that 1 guy lagging behind killing stuff then help a guardian out. Get to the checkpoint and then kill yourself. More than likely you'll be the only guardian at that checkpoint when you are playing with these slow unhelpful people so it will just wipe the group and respawn everyone at the checkpoint you just died at. Easy way to tell if you're the only one at a check point is to just look at your radar. If you don't see any green on it then you're the only one in that checkpoint. So if you wanna be the boss and set the pace of the strike then give this a try!!!! Works well for me
Edit 1 how can I collect all these tears with so much salt
Edit 2 thanks for all the attention to this thread! Let's get this method out there an put into action!!!
Edit 3 I am truly blessed. Thank you guardians for all these tears. Without you none of this would be possible. May your eyes be wet and your cheeks be salty

If your tired of running out of glimmer, weapon parts, and class materials and you don't feel like standing outside of a cave for hours on end try this. How about shooting the minions that you come across in the strikes. It works great and since you probably are in a lobby with some douche that ran by everything resulting in your path getting blocked by the disturbed minions while he sits just outside of the boss fight waiting for you before he goes to some corner and hides for the whole fight anyway. (Yes I left that sentence long just to annoy the grammar police.) What else are you going to do?
-
Vanguard ROC is all about those blue engrams that regularly turn into coins and motes. Not to mention the purples. If you just want to run to the boss, then all you can expect is 25 rep and a crappy reward and miss out on lots of possible drops. What's the rush? Take your time and farm those blues and purples.
-
Sounds good, it would give me time to check my emails while you tackle the boss on your own.
-
Hard to believe that 2015 was 200 million years ago
-
Maybe you are a dick and part of the problem. I wish you could turn off matchmaking so jerks like yourself can play alone. If anyone does this, I will leave. I don't care how far along you are. This will almost guarantee you never make friends in this game.
-
And I will follow you the rest of the strike and not shoot a damned thing. I've got nothing but time bro. ;)
-
If you do this in matchmaking strikes and your level is 28 or above then that is sad. You should have no problem staying alive in darkness zones.
-
Next hot fix: We have added weight of darkness to all strikes to prevent people from skipping the enemies to get to the end. This is not how we intended the game to be played.
-
Why pull people through, just solo the whole thing. I'll be in the back picking up all my legendary engrams
-
I've never understood this train of thought. The more enemies you kill the quicker your gear and be upgraded.
-
I have always done this... I especially enjoy doing this on "complete a strike without dieing" days
-
Who cares if people are lagging behind? If you're an awesome player like me and don't need help completing a level 26 strike on your own just -blam!-ing run through and defeat enemies by yourself! Let the other do what they want. Don't be lame and try to run through and die cause you're not as skilled as you believed yourself to be. My point is: if you rush strikes, you need to have the skill to rush strikes.
-
What do you do when you force their hand and they say "screw this guy" and go afk...you accomplished nothing
-
Wow, I hope I don't ever play with you. You sound like an a-hole.
-
A real guardian kills all enemy, otherwise what's the point. How is rushing through, playing the game and then what is the point of the weapons and armour, bragging rights, do you cheese the raids as well?
-
Get back to the kitchen
-
Nice teamwork you ass. I always kill everything cause that is what your suppose to do.
-
Or you can just keep going and finish it by yourself like I do.
-
A guy did this to me the other day, when we respawned i turned around & went back through the map killing the mobs i missed, I sent the guy a msg saying *back in a min, i missed a few*, he left. Cant wait till i see you in a strike just so i can give you the middle finger aswell as i casually go about doing my own thing.
-
Edited by Mike-MF-Hall: 1/26/2015 7:17:16 PMThats a dick move. I use strikes to farm glimmer. 1.5K per. Plus the engrams. So I kill most stuff. You do that and I'll just AFK and collect my engrams. If you leave, I just kill stuff, and collect my engrams anyway.
-
We come across your kind all too often. A swift sparrow slap into a wall sorts that problem
-
You can do that, but then in just going to go back and finish what I was doing. Then wait in the spawn for you to die which you warpers always do. Then not revive you at all.
-
Edited by HeronMarked1: 1/26/2015 8:18:45 PMIf you did this to me I would leave. I play strike playlists to get the engrams, which means killing as many enemies as you can to increase the chance of drops. If you want to play solo then I will oblige you.
-
Just solo nothing but Nightfalls since you don't need us anyway.
-
You're the kinda player that if I get matched with you,and you wipe us to the darkness zone? I'll run back outside and start killing shit again. Troll harder
-
I guess it's not a shocker that you play roc strikes solo, being a d bag makes it hard to make friends I assume
