I, along with many other people were grinding the iron banner to be able to get the weapons using a lot of glimmer we had to grind for. After we got the weapons we had to keep rolling them to get the damage type we wanted and good perks to go along with them by using a ton of motes of light we were previously grinding for. People always complain about "earning" things in Destiny and these are the most earned weapons in the game. If you nerf these a lot of people are gonna be pissed off. It's like being in a contest where they tell everyone the winner gets a million dollars so everyone works hard to win but after the contest is over and you have won they change the prize to 10,000. Is that fair?

I've played in every Iron Banner so far and I've not had a single weapon drop yet. Got to rank 4, 3 and 5.
-
When you can shoot people through solid rock and think it's fair you're a bitch!
-
Is being able to shoot a rocket out of your hands that can kill a whole team fair? Video game, not a WWII simulator.
-
Please you din't earn anything. You got lucky on a drop to get this weapon. A lot of people played iron banner to get the guns but never got them. Do you think luck should decide who gets to rule pvp?
-
Sorry, didn't know this was not for sale for glimmer......
Sorry, didn't know this was not for sale for glimmer......
The sniper was not unfortunately😕
-
It was on sale in the IB before the last IB.. You still have a valid point
-
Why do you need a specific damage type? This is a PvP focused post. Oh, and I spent 150 motes reforging my Spear to get the best roll in the game. Still think it should be nerfed, motes are worthless to me anyway.
-
Because last time I checked you can use the same weapons in PVP and PVE so you don't need twice as many weapons to store in your tiny bank. If they had to remove of every weapon, ability and super people say is OP and needs a nerf we will all be running around the crucible spitting on each other.
-
If you want to remain ignorant to the fact that the Spear is overpowered, then that's fine. It doesn't actually affect me that much, because whenever we organise matches against top players, we all agree to ban the Spear. Even when I run into Spears in Skirmish, I already have the best Spear roll in the game anyway so we can just have a 1 shot sniper battle. It affects the people on my friends list who didn't have enough motes to get a good roll on it, and it would just be easier to nerf the thing. I don't know much about the top players on PlayStation, but I hope you run into one and he makes you go ridiculously negative by 1 shotting you through walls. Your opinion will quickly change.

Did you ever play Bad Company 2? Snipers quickscopeing the shit out of you in CQC.. On hit kill headshots from shotguns with slug ammo across the map.. And still one of the best shooters out there.. If you're playing destiny 'competitively' it's your choice. . And your own fault since it doesn't support an esport kind of gameplay.. I hardly play pvp in Destiny because of this, if you do then just get used to some players having better guns then some others...

well said. i grind to 5 every month for these things... they're supposed to be special. ;-)

Absolutely nailed it...well said, Guardian "Earned" is one of the single most overused words on these forums. The vast majority of the time people use it to describe something that is pure RNG, and therefore just luck. BUT, if there is one section of this game where you CAN use the word, it's for Iron Banner...the Mother if All Grinds in this game.

Iron banner is where I really feel like I earn gear. Even with the random drops, you have to be a certain rank for it to drop so it still feels "earned" (not as much as straight up buying it though).
-
I agree

i skipped out on raids just to grind for it

Exactly
