Went up against a team in 2v2 skirmish. Both of them were emptying their sniper mags to get the final round perk and then going ahead just 1-hitting me and my buddy. I'm not saying it's an unfair advantage (I'm also not saying it isn't lol), but the match was pretty damn boring from that moment on. My friend and I couldn't get close to them with other weapons because they would just 1-hit us whenever we showed ourselves, so we had to bring out our own sniper rifles. The game just turned into a campfest about who could fire their guns first, and then it'd be over. I can totally see this being a thing in the Iron banner with lvl advantages and all, but imagine 2 full teams in normal control running around with it. Heck all it takes is a few players and the game will get lame.
Mind you, I'm not saying it should be removed or anything.

I Hear ya. But on the other end of the spectrum how much damage should a sniper rifle really do? If they scaled back the damage so it couldn't 1 shot u in pvp, then it would render snipers useless because they wouldn't have a high dps (not including precision dmg). Picture having to shoot someone 3 times with a sniper rifle, it's absurd seeing as it only takes 3 shots for most handcannons. I feel it's the appropriate damage. Now if there was a sniper that 1 shot u with every bullet that would be op imo and deserve to be a heavy weapon, but since it's the final round it's a risk shot because if u miss u have to reload which leaves u vulnerable.

This is a tough cookie. What you're saying is true and I agree. I think it would be difficult to balance something like this properly in an enviroment as unfair and unbalanced as Destiny's crucible. I think what many people find frustrating with the IB sniper in particular is because of its small mag size. 3 bullets doesnt take long to get down to the final round with that sweet sweet extra damage. I was lucky enough to find a Longbow Synthesis (something something) sniper rifle with the final round perk. This rifle has 5 rounds in the mag and it's just a hassle to empty it just for the perk. Not to mention a whole lot less bullets to actually shoot at people.
