Not really. Your guardian could have probably died a half hour before your ghost found you. And maybe awoken came back to earth and mingled with the humans on Earth and they are the ancestors of our awoken characters.

Still think an awoken probably just died there. It's been generations since the collapse and dark age and all that nonsense.
